Layer Details
- Premium cover. A thicker fabric layer that is soft to the touch, which means a more cushioned first impression when you lie down. It is 100% removable and machine washable at 40°C, so keeping it fresh is straightforward.
- ThermoSync® foam. Graphite-infused foam that draws excess heat away from your body. In practice this means a more balanced, comfortable temperature through the night, useful if you tend to overheat.
- MemoryAdapt Foam. This layer moulds to your body's shape and distributes weight evenly, which means less pressure building up at your hips and shoulders. You should feel gently cradled rather than perched on top.
- Soft foam layer. An upgraded soft layer that adapts to your body from the first moment. It eases pressure points and makes it easier to settle into a comfortable position quickly.
- SupportBase. This transitional layer cushions the body and smooths the change from soft comfort layers to the firmer core. The result is balanced firmness that supports you without letting you sink too far.
- Pro spring system. Pocket springs arranged in 7 targeted zones that adapt to you from head to toe, which means firmer support where you carry more weight. A new comfort foam edge improves support when you sit or sleep near the sides.
- Bottom cover. A grippy base fabric that holds the mattress steady on your bed frame. It stops the mattress shifting about, night after night.

- Distance beats any comfort layer: With 90cm each, a partner who turns all night is simply further away, which does more for your sleep than any foam ever could.
- Zoned springs across a wider bed: The 7-zone pocket spring system supports each sleeper independently, so two people of different weights both get firmer support where they carry more of it.
- Room for the whole household: At 6ft x 6ft 6in there is genuine space when a child climbs in at 3am, rather than everyone shuffling to the edges.
- Edge support matters more at this width: The comfort foam edge holds its shape when you sit or sleep near the sides, useful on a bed this wide where the edges see real use.
- Cooler with two bodies: Graphite-infused ThermoSync® foam draws heat away, and the extra width means shared body heat has somewhere to dissipate.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and one of you sleeps restlessly, so distance matters as much as comfort. It also suits you if children or pets treat your bed as their own, or if you have a large master bedroom where a UK king would look undersized. Allow at least 3m x 2.9m of floor space, with around 3.5m x 3.2m feeling comfortable.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom falls short of the 3m x 2.9m we suggest as a minimum, or your landing and door swing make a 180cm mattress a struggle. We'd recommend the UK king instead, which keeps the 200cm length in a narrower footprint.

Is a super king too big for the Emma Original Pro's zoned support to work for couples?
No, the opposite. The Pro spring system's 7 zones run across the full 180cm width, so each of you gets support matched to where you carry weight. Because pocket springs move independently, a restless partner's movement travels less, and at 90cm each you are far enough apart to barely notice it anyway.
Will the Emma Original Pro super king fit up my stairs?
It arrives vacuum-packed and rolled in a box, which makes stairs and landing turns far easier than moving a flat 180 x 200cm mattress would be. Do check your bedroom door swing and any tight turns before ordering, because once the mattress expands it will not roll back up.
How much wider is the Emma Original Pro in a super king than in a king?
The UK super king is 30cm wider than the UK king, with both sharing the same 200cm length. That extra width is what turns a comfortable bed for two into one that copes with three when a child wanders in, so it earns consideration if your room can take it.
What room size do I need for a super king Emma Original Pro?
We suggest a minimum of 3m x 2.9m, and around 3.5m x 3.2m feels right, leaving space to walk both sides and open drawers. In a period property or a generous new build master, a UK king can look lost, and this is the size that fills the room properly.
What bedding will I need for this size?
Standard UK super king sheets fit the 180 x 200cm footprint, and we suggest pairing it with a 260 x 220cm duvet so neither sleeper ends up short of cover. Bedding at this size costs a little more and fewer shops stock it, so factor that into the overall spend.
