- Cover. A knit cover with breathable micro-dots that move air outwards, designed to feel cool and ultra soft. It's the first thing your skin meets, so the airflow focus should help if you tend to run warm.
- Emma AirGrid™ Tech. Emma's most advanced AirGrid™ layer, a flexible grid engineered to adapt to your body. In practice, this means pressure relief that adjusts to your shape rather than pushing back uniformly.
- MemoryAdapt layer. This gives the first comforting hug, responding to your body with immediate cushioning. It's where the pressure relief you feel at hips and shoulders comes from.
- SupportBase. A transition layer that keeps you supported in every zone, easing strain on sensitive pressure points. It also creates a smooth handover to the core layers, so you don't feel a sudden change in feel as you sink in.
- Zoned pocket springs. These add bounce, extra support and stability, with zoning to give responsive support where you need it. The pocketed design also reduces motion transfer, useful if you share the bed.
- SupportBase. A second SupportBase layer that grounds the zoned spring core and keeps the mattress structure stable. Think of it as the foundation everything else works from.
- Bottom cover. A simple base cover that keeps the mattress in place on your bed frame.

- 90cm each for two sharing: Two people sharing get 90cm each, which means you can both stretch out without ever negotiating for territory.
- Distance plus spring isolation: The pocket springs already limit motion transfer, and at this width there's simply more mattress between you and a fidgeting partner.
- Space when the family joins you: A child wandering in at 3am, or a large dog who treats the bed as routine, doesn't have to cost anyone their share of the mattress.
- Fills a larger master properly: In a big bedroom or a period property where a UK king can look a little lost, the 180cm width sits in proportion with the room.
- Support that holds across the width: The zoned pocket springs and SupportBase layers keep the feel consistent right to the edges, so the extra width is all usable sleeping space.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night with a genuinely restless partner and want distance rather than compromise, your children or pets regularly end up in with you, or your master bedroom is large enough that anything smaller would look undersized. Allow at least 3m x 2.9m of floor space, with around 3.5m x 3.2m feeling comfortable.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom is under our suggested 3m x 2.9m minimum, or you'd struggle to get a 180cm wide mattress round your landing. We'd recommend the UK king instead, which keeps the 200cm length in a narrower footprint.

How much space do two people get on the Emma Performance 28 super king?
You get 90cm each for two people sharing, the most any standard UK size offers. That's enough for each of you to change position freely without disturbing the other, and the mattress's zoned pocket springs add to that by reducing motion transfer across the surface.
Is the Emma Performance 28 super king worth it over the UK king?
The UK super king is 30cm wider than the UK king, with the same 200cm length. If you share with a restless partner, or children and pets join you often, that extra width does more for undisturbed sleep than any comfort layer can. In a smaller room, though, the UK king is the more sensible fit.
Will the Emma Performance 28 super king fit in my bedroom?
The mattress measures 180 x 200cm, and we suggest a room of at least 3m x 2.9m, with around 3.5m x 3.2m feeling right once you add wardrobes and walking space. Check door swing and any tight landing turns too, since a mattress this wide is awkward on stairs.
What bedding do I need for this mattress in a super king?
You'll need super king fitted sheets, and because the Emma Performance 28 is 28cm deep, look for deep-pocket versions so the corners don't ping off. A 260 x 220cm duvet suits the width. Super king bedding is stocked by fewer shops and tends to cost a little more, so factor that in.
Is the Emma Performance 28 super king good for families sharing a bed?
It's one of the better choices for it. At 180cm wide there's room for a child who wanders in at night, or a dog who considers the bed theirs, without pushing either adult to the edge. The pocket springs also keep small movements from travelling across the mattress, so lighter sleepers are less likely to wake.
