- Cover. A deep quilted fabric treated with Purotex+, certified by Allergy UK to reduce dust mites and nasties by up to 96.6%. It also has an Adaptive fabric treatment to regulate temperature and wick moisture, which means less clammy overheating on warm nights.
- Latex layer. Plant-based, hypoallergenic latex that moulds to your body and relieves pressure. It also helps keep your spine aligned, which you'll feel as gentle contouring rather than sinking.
- Pressure-relieving memory foam. 30mm of memory foam with an open cell structure and 7 drill zones, which Eve says is 5 times more breathable than standard memory foam. The zones adapt to your body and encourage airflow.
- Dual spring system. 2,000 extra springs, a combination of tall pocket springs and shorter micro pocket springs. Together they add responsive, targeted support beneath the comfort layers.
- Reinforced edge support (firmer side). Reinforced edges on the firmer side, which means you can sit or sleep near the edge without feeling like you'll roll off.
- Firmer foam. A firmer foam casing on one side for a sturdier, more supported sleep. This is the side to use if you like a solid, stable feel.
- Reactive spring system. 1,000 full height springs, softer at one end and firmer at the other, each wrapped in a breathable fabric pocket. The pockets help prevent motion transfer, so a restless partner is less likely to wake you.
- Reinforced edge support (softer side). Reinforced edges on the softer side too, so edge stability doesn't change when you flip the mattress.
- Softer foam. A softer foam casing on the other side for a plushier, more squishy sleep. Flip to this side if you prefer to sink in a little.
- Base. A base with handy handles on the sides, which makes flipping and moving the mattress noticeably easier.

- The classic couples' footprint: At 135 x 190cm, the UK double fits comfortably in rooms where a UK king would crowd out the wardrobe and drawers.
- Room to flip it: A double is the easiest size of this mattress to turn over when you want to switch between the softer and firmer sides.
- Bedside tables on both sides: In most master bedrooms, the UK double's width still leaves space for a table each, which a wider size often doesn't.
- Motion isolation where it counts: With 67.5cm each for two people sharing, the pocketed Reactive springs matter more, keeping a restless partner's movement from crossing the mattress.
- Easy to dress: Standard double sheets and a 200 x 200cm duvet are sold everywhere, so bedding costs stay low even though the mattress itself isn't cheap.
- Simpler to get upstairs: Handles on the base help with moving it, and the double is the most manageable size of this mattress on a turning staircase or tight landing.
This size suits you if...
You're a couple in a typical UK bedroom and want the flippable design without giving up floor space, or you sleep alone and like room to spread out, perhaps with a dog or cat claiming a corner. It also suits a guest room that hosts visiting couples, since either of them can pick the side that feels right by flipping it.
Consider another size if...
You and your partner both toss and turn, because 67.5cm each for two people sharing can feel snug. If your room allows it, we'd recommend the UK king instead, which is 15cm wider and 10cm longer.

Is the Eve Wunderflip double big enough for two people?
It works for most couples, giving you 67.5cm each for two people sharing. The pocketed springs limit motion transfer, which helps at this width. If either of you is broad-shouldered or a restless sleeper, the UK king adds 15cm of width and 10cm of length, and is a better long-term choice where the room allows.
What room size do I need for the Eve Wunderflip in a UK double?
We suggest allowing at least 2.6m x 2.8m, with around 3m x 3m the comfortable norm. That leaves walking space on both sides and room for bedside tables. Because this mattress is designed to be flipped, a little clearance around the bed also makes turning it over far less awkward.
Is a double the smallest size the Eve Wunderflip comes in?
Yes. Eve makes this mattress in UK double, UK king and UK super king only, so there's no single or small double. If you're buying for a child's room or a narrow spare bed, this model won't fit the brief. For a solo adult, the UK double gives generous space to spread out.
Is the Eve Wunderflip double easy to flip and move?
Easier than its larger siblings. The base has handles on the sides, and at 135cm wide the double is the most manageable size to turn over or carry up a turning staircase in an older terrace. It's still a heavy hybrid with 3,000 springs inside, so flipping is a two-person job.
What bedding fits the Eve Wunderflip in a double?
Standard UK double sheets and a 200 x 200cm double duvet, both stocked everywhere at every price point. That's a quiet advantage of this size: you won't pay king-size bedding prices, which softens the mattress's high cost a little. Check fitted sheet depth against the mattress before you buy.
