- Wool. Harrison Spinks' finest natural wool forms the sleeping surface, which means better temperature regulation: cooler in summer, snug when it turns cold. It's a naturally breathable start to the mattress.
- Cotton. Natural cotton fibres sit beneath the wool, helping regulate body temperature and wick away moisture. In practice that means a fresher, drier sleeping surface through the night.
- Hemp. Hemp is an eco-friendly fibre that's naturally breathable and durable. It acts as a natural insulator, helping keep the mattress cool and fresh over time.
- Pocket Springs. 2750 pocket springs provide flexible support, each moving independently of its neighbours. That reduces motion transfer, so you feel less of a partner's movement.
- HD Mini Springs. 1700 lightweight HD mini springs respond individually to pressure, dispersing your body weight for what the maker describes as a three-dimensional support feeling. You should notice more precise contouring around hips and shoulders.

- Fits compact rooms: At 3ft x 6ft 3in it leaves floor space for a desk, wardrobe or toy storage, and we suggest a room of at least 2.1m x 2.8m.
- Natural fillings for a child or teen: Wool and cotton on the sleeping surface regulate temperature and wick moisture, which matters for younger sleepers who run warm at night.
- A softer feel suits lighter bodies: The medium-to-soft feel that heavier adults might sink into works in a single's favour, as children and lighter solo sleepers get proper contouring.
- Works in a guest room: Two UK singles fit where one double dominates, giving a spare room flexibility for visiting friends or grandchildren.
- Cheap, easy bedding: Single sheets and duvets are the most widely stocked of any UK size, so replacing or rotating bedding costs little.
This size suits you if...
You're buying for a child or teenager and want natural fillings rather than foam, you sleep alone in a compact room, a loft space or a first flat where 90cm of width is all the floor plan allows, or you're kitting out a spare room and would rather have a single that guests genuinely enjoy than a cramped afterthought.
Consider another size if...
You're an adult who shares the bed, even occasionally, or you simply want more room to spread out. We'd recommend the UK double instead, which is 45cm wider than the UK single at the same length; allow at least 2.6m x 2.8m for it.

Is the Bordley Natural 2750 UK single a good choice for a child's room?
Yes, with one caveat. The wool, cotton and hemp fillings breathe well and regulate temperature, which suits children who overheat at night, and the medium-to-soft feel gives lighter bodies proper contouring rather than leaving them perched on top. The caveat is price: it costs more than a basic children's mattress, so it makes most sense as a longer-term buy.
Will the UK single Bordley Natural 2750 fit a bunk bed or mid sleeper?
The footprint fits: 90 x 190cm is the standard bunk and mid-sleeper size. The question is depth. At 25cm this is deeper than many mattresses sold for raised frames, and a thick mattress can leave the guard rail too low to be safe. Measure from the base to the top of the rail before you buy.
What room size do I need for the Bordley Natural 2750 in a UK single?
We suggest allowing at least 2.1m x 2.8m of floor space. That leaves enough clearance to walk round the bed and open drawers or a wardrobe. In practice a UK single fits almost any UK bedroom, including box rooms and loft conversions where the sloping ceiling restricts you to a narrow footprint along one wall.
Is the UK single big enough for an adult guest room?
For one guest, yes. At 3ft x 6ft 3in it's the standard UK one-person size, and the natural fillings mean visitors get a more comfortable night than the average spare-room bed offers. If the room hosts couples too, the UK single is 30cm narrower than the UK small double, which needs a room of at least 2.4m x 2.8m.
Should I buy two singles or one double for a shared kids' room?
Two UK singles usually work better for siblings. Each child gets their own 90cm-wide bed, bedding can be washed separately, and the mattresses can move to different rooms later. You'll need space for both beds plus a walkway between them, so measure carefully; each UK single is 90 x 190cm.
