Layer Details
- Room to sleep apart, together: With 90cm each for two people sharing, you can both stretch out without negotiating territory in the small hours.
- Distance beats any comfort layer: Pocket springs already limit motion transfer, and 30cm more width than the UK king puts a fidgety partner further away still.
- Space for night-time visitors: If children pad in at night or the dog treats the bed as its own, a super king means everyone keeps a workable share.
- Fills a larger master properly: In a period property or a big new build main bedroom, a UK king can look lost; the super king fills the space it's given.
- The same length as a UK king: At 200cm, taller sleepers get the same legroom as the UK king, with all the extra going into width.
This size suits you if...
You share every night and want the most space this mattress offers, you have a genuinely restless partner and know distance matters more than any spring or filling, or children and pets regularly join you and you'd rather plan for it than fight it. Your bedroom should measure at least 3m x 2.9m, with more feeling comfortable once wardrobes and bedside tables go in.
Consider another size if...
Your room falls short of the 3m x 2.9m we suggest for a UK super king, or you'd struggle to get a 180cm mattress round your landing. We'd recommend the UK king instead: it's 30cm narrower, the same length, and we suggest at least 2.7m x 2.9m for it.

Will the Harrison Spinks Extra Plush 3000 super king fit in my bedroom?
We suggest a room of at least 3m x 2.9m for a UK super king, and that's our guidance rather than the manufacturer's. That allows for walking space on both sides, but check door swing and where wardrobes sit before committing, because a 180cm-wide bed dominates anything smaller.
How much space does each person get on a super king?
Two people sharing a UK super king get 90cm each. That's the width of a whole UK single per person, which is why this size works when one of you tosses and turns: pocket springs reduce how much movement you feel, and the extra distance does the rest.
Is the super king Extra Plush 3000 hard to get upstairs?
It can be. At 180 x 200cm this is the largest standard UK size, and tight landing turns or narrow staircases are the usual sticking point, so measure the awkward corners before ordering. Harrison Spinks doesn't publish a weight for this mattress, so ask the retailer if handling is a concern.
How much bigger is the super king than the king in this mattress?
The UK super king is 30cm wider than the UK king and exactly the same length, so all the extra space goes across the bed rather than down it. If your room can take the width, that 30cm is what turns a shared bed into one where a restless partner barely registers.
What bedding will I need for this size?
Super king sheets and a 260 x 220cm duvet. Budget for the change if you're moving up from a UK king or UK double, as nothing you own will fit, and bedding at this size costs a little more than the smaller standards.
