Layer Details
- Wool. Wool comfort fillings that stay cosy through the night, which means natural insulation in winter and temperature regulation in summer. It's the layer closest to you, so you feel its softness first.
- Cotton. Natural cotton fibres that wick away moisture, which means a fresher, drier sleeping surface. Helpful if you run warm at night.
- Hemp. An eco-friendly fibre that's naturally breathable and durable, adapting to different temperature conditions. It also acts as a natural insulator, adding to the mattress's temperature control.
- Soft White Fibres. Soft synthetic fillings that add a cosy feel while staying resilient. This layer holds its shape over time, so the comfort shouldn't flatten quickly.
- Eco-polyester. A supportive layer made from 100% recycled materials, and it can be recycled again at the end of its life. A quiet win if sustainability matters to you.
- Pocket Springs. 3750 Cortec Quad Core pocket springs, each encased in its own cloth pocket, which means each spring responds independently to your body. The design prioritises breathability and resilience.

- Sized for real UK bedrooms: At 135 x 190cm (4ft 6in x 6ft 3in), it usually leaves space for bedside tables on both sides where a UK king would crowd them out.
- Less disturbance when sharing: Each of the 3750 pocket springs responds independently, which means your partner turning over is far less likely to wake you on a shared surface.
- Breathable fillings for two: Two bodies generate more heat than one, and the wool, cotton and hemp layers help the sleeping surface stay drier and cooler.
- Manageable to maintain: The UK double is the easiest couples' size to turn regularly, and the built-in handles make the job simpler with two of you.
- Easy to dress: Standard double sheets and a 200 x 200cm double duvet fit, both stocked everywhere at every price point.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed most nights and your bedroom sits around the typical UK size, where we suggest allowing at least 2.6m x 2.8m for a UK double. It also suits a guest room that hosts visiting couples, since the medium firm feel works for a range of sleepers, or a solo sleeper who wants proper room to stretch out, even with a dog or cat claiming a corner.
Consider another size if...
You and your partner both want more than 67.5cm each of width, or your room comfortably exceeds 2.7m x 2.9m. We'd recommend the UK king instead: it's 15cm wider and 10cm longer than the UK double.

What size is the Harrison Spinks Levisham 3750 in a UK double?
The UK double measures 135 x 190cm, or 4ft 6in x 6ft 3in. Shared between two people, that works out at 67.5cm each. It's the standard British couples' size, so any double bed frame, sheets and a 200 x 200cm double duvet will fit without hunting for anything unusual.
Is the UK double Levisham 3750 wide enough for a couple?
For most couples, yes. You get 67.5cm each for two people sharing, and the 3750 independent pocket springs mean movement on one side is less likely to travel across to the other. If either of you sleeps sprawled or you're both broad in the shoulder, the UK king's extra 15cm of width may be a better long-term buy.
What room size do I need for the Levisham 3750 double?
We suggest allowing at least 2.6m x 2.8m, with around 3m x 3m the comfortable norm. That's our own guidance rather than Harrison Spinks', and it assumes you want to open drawers and walk round the bed without shuffling sideways. In a typical UK master or a decent second bedroom, the UK double fits with room to spare.
Can one person turn the UK double Levisham 3750?
It's designed to make turning as easy as possible, with handles built into the sides, and the UK double is the smallest couples' size so there's less bulk to wrestle than with a UK king or UK super king. That said, it's a substantial handcrafted pocket spring mattress, so a second pair of hands makes the job quicker and safer.
