Cover
A FabriSafe cover made from wool yarn and viscose fabric, which is naturally fire retardant with zero chemical treatments. That means it meets safety standards without sprayed-on chemicals near your skin.
Comfort Layer
Traceable British wool paired with recycled polyester fibres for cushioning. Wool helps regulate temperature, so it works across warmer and cooler nights.
Support System
750 Cortec Quad steel pocket springs, each in its own fabric pocket, welded together ultrasonically and completely glue-free. Individual pockets mean the springs respond to your shape rather than moving as one block.

- Fits compact rooms: At 90 x 190cm it needs a room of just 2.1m x 2.8m, so there's still space left for a desk, wardrobe or toy storage.
- Suits raised frames: Its 24cm depth works with most bunk, cabin and mid-sleeper frames, though check the guard rail sits comfortably above the mattress surface.
- Chemical-free cover for children: The FabriSafe wool and viscose cover meets fire regulations without sprayed-on treatments, which is reassuring on a child's or teenager's bed.
- Wool that copes with warm rooms: The traceable British wool filling helps regulate temperature, useful in small bedrooms and loft rooms that heat up in summer.
- A step up for guest beds: The 750 individual pocket springs give visitors proper support rather than the flat, tired feel of a typical spare-room mattress.
This size suits you if...
You're furnishing a child's or teenager's bedroom and want something with natural fillings rather than a basic foam slab, you're setting up a spare room or a study that doubles as guest space, or you sleep alone in a compact room and would rather keep the floor clear than stretch to a wider bed.
Consider another size if...
You're an adult who shares the bed, or you find 90cm of width restrictive. We'd recommend the UK double instead: it's 45cm wider, the same length, and needs a room of at least 2.6m x 2.8m.

What size is the Harrison Spinks Luxury Essential 750 in a UK single?
It measures 90 x 190cm, or 3ft x 6ft 3in. That's the standard UK one-person size, so it fits any ordinary single bed frame, and standard single sheets and a 135 x 200cm duvet fit without adjustment. We suggest a room of at least 2.1m x 2.8m to leave a usable walkway.
Can I use the UK single Harrison Spinks Luxury Essential 750 on a bunk bed?
The 90 x 190cm footprint matches standard UK bunk, cabin and mid-sleeper frames. The one thing to check is depth: this mattress is 24cm deep, and some bunk frames specify a maximum so the guard rail still does its job. Measure from the base to the top of the rail before ordering.
Is a UK single big enough for an adult?
For one adult, yes. At 90cm wide it's the standard solo size, and the 750 pocket springs respond to your shape individually, so a heavier hip or shoulder gets support where it lands. If you tend to sprawl, the UK double is 45cm wider and the same length, needing a room of at least 2.6m x 2.8m.
Is the UK single long enough for a growing teenager?
At 190cm long, it matches the UK double for length, so a tall teen doesn't outgrow it any sooner than they would a wider bed. Only the UK king and UK super king add length, and each is 10cm longer than the UK single. For most teenagers, width is the reason to size up, rarely length.
How do I find the best price on this mattress in a single?
Prices for the UK single change regularly, so we don't print them in the page copy. Use the live comparison table on this page instead: it's updated as retailers change their prices, so what you see there reflects the current cost rather than a figure that was accurate last month.
