- Cover. A FabriSafe cover made from wool yarn and viscose fabric, which is naturally fire retardant with zero chemical treatments. That means it meets safety standards without sprayed-on chemicals near your skin.
- Comfort Layer. Traceable British wool paired with recycled polyester fibres for cushioning. Wool helps regulate temperature, so it works across warmer and cooler nights.
- Support System. 750 Cortec Quad steel pocket springs, each in its own fabric pocket, welded together ultrasonically and completely glue-free. Individual pockets mean the springs respond to your shape rather than moving as one block.
Layer details from mattressonline.co.uk product page, September 2026.
- 90cm of width each: Two people sharing get 90cm each, which means a fidgety partner can turn over all night without ever crossing into your half.
- Pocket springs plus distance: The 750 Cortec Quad springs move individually, and at this width most movement never reaches you anyway, so disturbance is doubly reduced.
- Space for night-time visitors: When a child pads in at 3am, or the dog treats the bed as home, everyone still gets a workable share of the 180cm width.
- Wool that copes with a crowd: More bodies means more heat, and the traceable British wool filling helps regulate temperature when the bed is fuller than planned.
- Fills a larger master properly: In a big period bedroom or new build master, a UK super king sits in proportion where a UK king can look a little lost.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and want the most sleeping space a standard UK size offers, your partner is restless enough that distance matters more than any comfort layer, or children and pets regularly join you and you'd rather plan for it. Your bedroom should comfortably clear our suggested minimum of 3m x 2.9m.
Consider another size if...
Your room is under our suggested 3m x 2.9m minimum, or the bed would dominate the space. We'd recommend the UK king instead: it's 30cm narrower, the same length, and we suggest at least 2.7m x 2.9m for it.

What room size do I need for the Harrison Spinks Luxury Essential 750 in a super king?
We suggest at least 3m x 2.9m, and that's our guidance rather than the manufacturer's. That allows walking space on both sides and room for wardrobe doors to open. Measure door swing and any tight landing turns too, because a 180 x 200cm mattress is awkward on narrow stairs even when the room itself is generous.
Is the Harrison Spinks Luxury Essential 750 super king good for restless sleepers?
Yes, and the size does a lot of the work. With 90cm each, most of a partner's tossing happens too far away to feel, and the 750 pocket springs compress individually rather than as one block. If one of you is a genuinely light sleeper, this is the size where distance beats any filling.
Is the super king big enough to share with children or pets?
It's the best mainstream option for it. At 180cm wide there's room for a child who wanders in at night, or a large dog with settled habits, without anyone hanging off the edge. The wool filling also helps with the extra warmth more bodies bring, though frequent extra guests are still a squeeze on any mattress.
Should I get the Harrison Spinks Luxury Essential 750 in a UK king or super king?
The UK super king is 30cm wider than the UK king and the two are the same length, so it's purely a width and room-size decision. If your bedroom clears 3m x 2.9m and you share the bed, the extra width is what buys undisturbed sleep. Tighter than that, the UK king suits better.
Where can I buy the Harrison Spinks Luxury Essential 750 in a super king?
Compare the retailers listed on this page: the prices shown are updated as retailers change them, so what you see here reflects the current market for the UK super king. Stock of the largest size can move around more than smaller ones, so it's worth checking back if your preferred retailer shows nothing today.
