- Cover. A wool-blend cover woven in-house, which is fire-retardant without chemical treatments. That means fewer synthetic additives sitting close to your skin.
- Fillings. Responsibly sourced, fully traceable British wool sits alongside hemp and flax grown on the Harrison Spinks farm, plus soft, breathable cotton. These were chosen for cooling and moisture-wicking, which should help you sleep at a steadier temperature.
- Micro springs. A layer of 2,500 high-density micro springs provides pressure relief and cushioning. In practice this gives a responsive, contouring feel where your shoulders and hips press in.
- Pocket spring system. The Advanced Cortec Revolution Quad pocket spring system uses a spring-within-a-spring design. This gives dynamic support that adapts as you change position through the night.

- 75cm each, properly divided: Each sharer gets 75cm of width, and because the mattress is two zipped halves, your side stays yours in feel as well as space.
- Less partner disturbance: The two-halves construction limits how much movement carries across the join, helpful if one of you gets up hours before the other.
- Extra length for taller sleepers: At 200cm the UK king is 10cm longer than a UK double, a real difference for anyone approaching six foot.
- Dual tension on one bed: The UK king can be ordered with a different firmness on each half, so a lighter sleeper and a heavier one can both be supported.
- Fits a normal master bedroom: We suggest at least 2.7m x 2.9m for a UK king, which most UK master bedrooms can manage with wardrobes still in place.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and a UK double has started to feel cramped, especially with a dog who claims a corner as routine. Or one of you is over six foot and keeps finding their feet at the edge, since the 200cm length solves that rather than width. Or you and your partner want different tensions, which the zip and link design handles on each half.
Consider another size if...
Your room comfortably exceeds 3m x 2.9m and you want the most personal space this mattress offers. We'd recommend the UK super king instead: it is 30cm wider than the UK king and the same length.

Is the Pure Splendour UK king big enough for a couple?
Yes, comfortably for most. You get 75cm of width each, 15cm more overall than a UK double, and because the mattress is two zipped halves, each sleeper effectively has their own side. If you regularly share with a child or a large dog, the UK super king adds another 30cm of width.
Can each side of the UK king have a different firmness?
Yes. The zip and link construction means the UK king is made as two joined halves, and it can be ordered in dual tension as well as medium or firm throughout. One half can be softer than the other, useful where partners differ noticeably in weight or preference.
What room size suits the Pure Splendour in a UK king?
We suggest allowing at least 2.7m x 2.9m, with more feeling comfortable once wardrobes and bedside tables are in. New build master bedrooms often shrink in practice once storage goes in, so measure the floor you will actually have left, not the room on the plan.
Is the UK king long enough for a tall sleeper?
At 200cm it is 10cm longer than a UK double, which matters if either of you is approaching six foot. For most tall sleepers that added length is the real upgrade. Sizing up to the UK super king adds width only; both sizes are the same length.
Where can I buy the Pure Splendour in a UK king?
This mattress is listed as exclusive to Furniture Village, so availability is narrower than for most king size mattresses. Compare the retailers listed on this page; the prices shown here are updated as retailers change them, so they are worth checking on the day you plan to buy.
