Cover
A soft, quilted knitted cover that adds a cosy, warm surface feel. It's designed to enhance airflow, so it stays breathable rather than clammy.
Comfort fillings
Soft White Fibres, which are soft synthetic fillings that create a cosy top layer. They're durable and resilient, so they should hold their shape over time.

HD mini pocket springs
Layers of 4,000 HD springs and 2,500 HD springs working together beneath the comfort layer. The effect is a bounce-back feel with added comfort.
Posturfil mini pocket springs
1,000 Posturfil mini springs adding extra bouncy comfort. They also aid breathability, helping to move moisture and heat away from your body.

- A footprint most UK bedrooms can take: At 135 x 190cm it leaves room for a wardrobe and drawers where a wider bed would crowd the walls.
- Independent support for two sharing: With 67.5cm each for two people, the pocket springs move separately under each sleeper, so a restless partner disturbs you less.
- Cooler for couples: Two bodies generate more heat than one, and the all-spring build with a knitted cover lets air move through rather than trapping warmth between you.
- Easy to dress: Standard double sheets and a 200 x 200cm double duvet are stocked everywhere, at every price point.
- Manageable to maintain: This single-sided mattress needs rotating every six months, and a double is small enough that one person can usually manage it.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and your room sits around the typical UK size, where a UK king would leave little walking space. It also suits a solo sleeper who likes to spread out, or shares the mattress with a pet claiming a corner. If you're furnishing a guest room for visiting couples, the medium firm feel is a safe middle ground for people you can't ask in advance.
Consider another size if...
You and your partner want more than 67.5cm of width each, or your room is under our suggested 2.6m x 2.8m minimum. Harrison Spinks makes this mattress in a UK double only, so a wider or narrower bed means choosing a different model.

Does the Harrison Spinks Quilted Fusion 8000 come in a king size?
No. The Quilted Fusion 8000 is made in a UK double only, 135 x 190cm. If you have your heart set on this mattress, the UK double is the size you get; if you need UK king width for two broad sleepers, you'd have to look at a different model entirely.
What room size do I need for the Quilted Fusion 8000 double?
We suggest at least 2.6m x 2.8m, with around 3m x 3m the comfortable norm. That allows walking space on both sides and, in most rooms, bedside tables too. Measure with your wardrobe and drawers marked out, since it's the furniture rather than the bed that usually tips a room from workable to cramped.
How much space does each person get on the Quilted Fusion 8000 double?
Two people sharing get 67.5cm each. That's the traditional couples' allowance rather than a generous one, but the independent pocket springs in this mattress help: each of you is supported by the springs directly beneath you, so you feel less of your partner's movement across that shared width.
Is a double Quilted Fusion 8000 big enough for a couple?
For most couples, yes. It's the size British couples have shared for generations, and the medium firm, all-spring feel suits a wide range of sleeping positions. Two tall or broad sleepers may find 67.5cm each a little snug, and since this mattress only comes in a UK double, there's no sizing up within the range.
What bedding fits the Quilted Fusion 8000 double?
Standard UK double bedding: double fitted sheets and a 200 x 200cm double duvet, both stocked everywhere at every price. The mattress is 25cm deep, which most regular fitted sheets accommodate comfortably, so you shouldn't need to hunt for extra-deep versions unless you add a thick topper.
