Cover
A cover of wool and natural viscose, fibres that are soft to the touch and naturally fire retardant. That means no chemical fire-retardant treatments are needed to meet safety standards.
Comfort fillings
Multiple layers of wool, hemp and flax sit beneath the cover, which means a cosy surface feel that also breathes well. Natural fibres like these tend to sleep cooler than synthetic foams.
MicroHD springs
A layer of 2,000 MicroHD springs sits above the core spring unit. These smaller springs add responsiveness and a more contouring feel at the surface.
Support layer
Two layers of Ecotex fibres, made from recycled materials, support the spring system. A small sustainability point, and it gives the springs a stable base to work from.
Core springs
The core holds 750 Cortec Quad springs, a design where four springs are fused into a single pocket. In practice that means increased responsiveness, so the mattress reacts quickly as you shift position.
Layer details from mattressonline.co.uk product page, September 2026.
- Space that solves restlessness: At 90cm each for two people sharing, distance does what no comfort layer can, keeping a fidgeting partner comfortably out of range.
- Springs across a wider bed: The 750 Cortec Quad springs respond quickly as you move, which matters on a bed this wide where you'll actually use the full 6ft.
- Room for the whole household: When children or a large dog find their way in most nights, 180cm of width means everyone still gets a fair share.
- Breathable at any scale: Wool, hemp and flax fillings sleep cooler than foam, useful when three or four bodies end up sharing the surface.
- Bigger than a UK king where it counts: The UK super king is 30cm wider than the UK king at the same length, and that extra width is the whole point.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and a UK king still feels crowded, your children or pets treat the bed as communal territory, or you have a large master bedroom where a smaller mattress would look and feel undersized. It also suits couples where one person is a genuinely restless sleeper, because at this width their tossing simply happens further away.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom is smaller than our suggested minimum of 3m x 2.9m, or you sleep alone. We'd recommend the UK king instead: it's 30cm narrower at the same length, and we suggest at least 2.7m x 2.9m for it.

What are the dimensions of the Classic 2750 in a UK super king?
The UK super king measures 180 x 200cm, or 6ft x 6ft 6in. That gives two people 90cm each, and at 24cm deep it fits most standard super king fitted sheets without a struggle.
Is the Classic 2750 super king much bigger than the UK king?
The UK super king is 30cm wider than the UK king, and the two are the same length. That extra width is the difference between sensing every turn your partner makes and barely noticing them, which is usually why people size up.
What size room does the Classic 2750 need in a UK super king?
We suggest at least 3m x 2.9m, and that's our guidance rather than the manufacturer's. Anything smaller and you'll be squeezing past corners daily. Measure your door swing and any landing turns too, because a mattress this size is awkward to manoeuvre upstairs.
Is the super king Classic 2750 good for a couple with children climbing in?
Yes, this is where the size makes sense. With 180cm of width there's room for a wandering child or a dog without anyone hanging off an edge, and the wool, hemp and flax fillings breathe well when the bed gets crowded and warm.
Will a restless partner disturb me on the Classic 2750 super king?
Less than on any smaller size. Each of the 750 Cortec Quad pockets moves independently, so motion doesn't ripple far, and with 90cm each you're simply further from the disturbance. It's a livelier surface than foam, though, so very light sleepers may still notice big movements.
