Teddy bear top panel
A super soft teddy bear fabric panel forms the top of the mattress. It gives a cosy, cushioned first feel when you lie down.
Memory foam
70mm of body-moulding memory foam sits beneath the cover. It shapes itself to your body, which helps ease pressure on your shoulders and hips.
Pocket spring core
Small diameter pocket springs sit tightly together, each in its own cloth sleeve. Because they work individually, the core can respond to your body shape and support you evenly.
Foam encapsulated border
A high density foam border surrounds the perimeter springs. It gives edge-to-edge support, so the sides feel steadier when you sit on the edge or sleep near it.

- Proper space for two: At 75cm each for two people sharing, a restless partner becomes easier to ignore, which matters most on nights when one of you sleeps badly.
- 15cm wider than a UK double: The UK king is 15cm wider than the UK double, a modest number on paper that changes how a shared bed feels every night.
- Length for taller sleepers: At 200cm long, anyone approaching or past six foot gets their feet on the mattress rather than hanging over the end.
- Different schedules, less disturbance: If one of you leaves for work hours before the other, the extra width makes those early exits easier to sleep through.
- Room to shift position: During pregnancy or recovery from surgery, when propping pillows and changing position becomes nightly routine, the extra space stops every adjustment waking your partner.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and have started to feel hemmed in on a UK double, you or your partner is approaching six foot and keeps running out of mattress, or your sleep schedules rarely line up and you want enough width to move without waking each other. Allow at least 2.7m x 2.9m of bedroom, though, or the bed will dominate the room.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom is under our suggested 2.7m x 2.9m minimum, or you sleep alone and would rather save the floor space. We'd recommend the Highgrove Aspen in a UK double instead, which is 15cm narrower and fits smaller rooms far more comfortably.

Is the Highgrove Aspen UK king wide enough for a couple?
Yes, comfortably for most. The UK king is 150cm wide, which works out at 75cm each for two people sharing. That is enough for both of you to turn over, stretch out or read without touching. If a dog routinely joins you and takes more than its share, the UK super king may be the safer choice.
Is the UK king long enough for someone over six foot?
At 200cm, the UK king is one of the longer standard UK sizes, and for many taller couples the length is the real reason to upgrade rather than the width. Someone around six foot will fit with room to spare. If you're well past that mark, lie on a 200cm bed in a showroom before committing.
Will the Highgrove Aspen in a UK king fit a new build master bedroom?
Often, but measure first. New build masters tend to be smaller than they look once fitted wardrobes go in. We suggest at least 2.7m x 2.9m for a UK king, with 3.2m x 3.2m feeling comfortable. If your room falls short, the Highgrove Aspen in a UK double needs noticeably less floor space.
Should I choose the UK king or the UK super king Highgrove Aspen?
The UK king is 30cm narrower than the UK super king, so it suits couples who want more space than a UK double without a bed that dominates the room. Go for the UK super king if a child or dog regularly ends up in the bed, and your room can absorb the extra width.
Where can I buy the Highgrove Aspen Memory Pocket 1500 in a UK king?
Availability varies by size, so the retailers stocking the UK king may differ from those selling the other sizes.
