- 90cm each for two sharers: Two people get 90cm each, which means turning over, spreading out or reading late rarely disturbs the person beside you.
- Room for night-time visitors: When a child pads in at 3am, or the dog treats the bed as routine, a super king absorbs the extra body without anyone perching on an edge.
- 30cm wider than a UK king: That extra 30cm over the UK king is the difference between sharing comfortably and sleeping in genuinely separate space.
- A sensible pick for letting rooms: As a contract-specification model, the super king works for guest house or rental master rooms where the bed size features in the listing.
- Fills a large master properly: In a period property or generous new build master, a UK king can look undersized against the wall; the 180cm width sits in proportion.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and want enough width that a restless partner, wandering child or large dog stops costing you sleep, your bedroom comfortably clears our suggested minimum of 3m x 2.9m, or you run a guest house or rental where a super king room commands a premium and a contract-specification mattress makes practical sense.
Consider another size if...
Your room is under 3m x 2.9m, or you'd struggle to get a 180 x 200cm mattress up the stairs and round the landing. We'd recommend the UK king instead: 30cm narrower, still 200cm long, and far easier to place.

How big is the Highgrove Lincoln Crib 5 in a UK super king?
This size measures 180 x 200cm, which is 6ft x 6ft 6in. That makes it the largest of the six sizes the Lincoln Crib 5 comes in, and the largest size stocked as standard by UK retailers, so bedding and bases are easy to find.
How much space does each person get on the super king Lincoln Crib 5?
Two people sharing get 90cm each. In practice that means a restless partner's movement mostly stays on their side of the bed, and distance does more for undisturbed sleep than any comfort layer can. It also leaves a workable share when a child climbs in overnight.
Will the Highgrove Lincoln Crib 5 super king fit my bedroom?
We suggest a room of at least 3m x 2.9m, with around 3.5m x 3.2m feeling more comfortable, and those are our figures rather than Highgrove's. Check door swing and any tight landing turns too; a 180cm-wide mattress is where staircases start causing problems.
Is a UK super king much bigger than a UK king?
The UK super king is 30cm wider than the UK king, with both being 200cm long. That 30cm is roughly a bedside table's width of extra sleeping space, and it's what turns a shared bed into two comfortable halves for couples who disturb each other.
Is the super king Lincoln Crib 5 a good choice for a guest house?
It's a plausible fit. The Lincoln Crib 5 is a contract-specification mattress, the sort typically bought for guest houses and rentals, and a super king room usually lets at a higher rate.
