Cover
A breathable Belgian damask fabric cover. It lets air move through the surface, which means less heat building up around you overnight.
Natural Silk Layer
A lightweight natural silk layer directly beneath the cover. Silk is a small component, but it adds a soft, smooth first impression when you lie down.
Cashmere
A rare filling that is softer and finer than wool, typically reserved for higher-end mattresses. It gives the comfort layer a gentle, plush quality without undermining the medium firm support.
Authentic Traceable British Wool
Wool from British Cheviot sheep, 100% traceable from farm to shop. It provides a natural bounce and helps regulate your temperature, keeping you warmer in winter and cooler in summer.
Pocket Springs
1,000 German-engineered pocket springs that adapt to your movements through the night. Because each spring works independently, support matches your weight distribution and you feel less of a partner's movement.

- 90cm each for two sleepers: Each of you gets 90cm of the medium firm surface, which means turning over or stretching out rarely intrudes on the other side.
- Distance dulls disturbance: Pocket springs already limit motion transfer, and at 180cm wide a fidgety partner's movements are happening far enough away to sleep through.
- Space when children wander in: When a small visitor arrives at 3am, a UK super king absorbs them without pushing either adult to the edge.
- Wool surface across a big footprint: The traceable British Cheviot wool regulates temperature over the whole 180 x 200cm surface, so three warm bodies are less likely to overheat it.
- Firm support that fills a large room: In a big master where a UK king can look undersized, this size sits in proportion while the medium firm feel keeps support consistent edge to edge.
This size suits you if...
You share every night and want the most sleeping space a standard UK mattress offers, your partner is restless enough that distance matters more than any comfort layer, or children and pets treat your bed as theirs and you'd rather everyone kept a fair share. Your room should allow at least 3m x 2.9m, with more feeling comfortable.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom falls short of the 3m x 2.9m we suggest as a minimum, or you sleep alone. We'd recommend the UK king instead for tighter rooms, or the UK single if the bed is yours only.

How big is the Highgrove Rowley Ortho 1000 in a super king?
It measures 180 x 200cm, which is 6ft x 6ft 6in. That makes it 30cm wider than the UK king and the largest size this mattress comes in as standard, giving two people 90cm each across the medium firm, wool-topped surface.
Is a super king good for a restless partner on this mattress?
It's the strongest case for buying one. The 1,000 pocket springs compress independently, so movement doesn't travel far through the mattress, and the 180cm width means whatever movement remains is happening well away from you. Together they make a fidgety sleeper genuinely easy to ignore.
Will the super king suit a family with children climbing in?
Yes, and it's the size we'd point families towards. With 90cm per adult there's room to absorb a child or a dog without anyone being pinned to the edge, and the breathable wool and damask cover help keep a crowded bed from getting stuffy.
What room size do I need for this mattress in a super king?
We suggest at least 3m x 2.9m, with around 3.5m x 3.2m feeling more comfortable if you want bedside tables on both sides and room to walk around. In a loft conversion, check the ceiling slope too, since it often decides which wall a bed this size can take.
Where can I buy the super king Rowley Ortho 1000?
Compare the retailers listed on this page; the prices shown here are updated as retailers change them. Availability in this size can be thinner than for a UK double or UK king, so it's worth checking the live table rather than assuming every stockist carries it.
