- 75cm each when sharing: Two people sharing get 75cm of width apiece, enough to change position without immediately colliding with your partner.
- 15cm wider than a UK double: That 15cm sounds modest on paper but you feel it every night, especially if you've been sharing a UK double for years.
- 200cm of length: If one of you is approaching 6ft, the extra length matters as much as the width, keeping feet on the mattress rather than off the end.
- Pocket springs and shared beds: Pocket-sprung construction generally moves less when one sleeper shifts, useful when your alarms go off hours apart.
- Fits without dominating the room: At 5ft x 6ft 6in it gives couples real space while still fitting rooms that couldn't take a UK super king.
This size suits you if...
You share every night and the UK double has started to feel cramped, particularly if one of you gets up hours before the other and wants to slip out without a fuss. It also suits taller sleepers, since the 200cm length is a genuine relief for anyone nearing 6ft, and couples whose bedroom can spare at least 2.7m x 2.9m.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom is under the 2.7m x 2.9m we suggest as a minimum, or you sleep alone and don't need the width. In either case we'd recommend the UK double of the Highgrove Willow Pocket 2000 instead.

Is the Highgrove Willow Pocket 2000 UK king big enough for a couple?
For most couples, yes. At 150 x 200cm you each get 75cm of width, which is 15cm more across the bed than a UK double offers. If one of you sprawls, or a dog treats the bed as its own, that margin is the difference between a decent night and a territorial one.
What size room do I need for the Highgrove Willow Pocket 2000 in a UK king?
We suggest at least 2.7m x 2.9m, with around 3.2m x 3.2m feeling comfortable. New build master bedrooms often look generous when empty, then shrink once fitted wardrobes go in, so measure the usable floor rather than the room on the plan before ordering this size.
Is a UK king Highgrove Willow Pocket 2000 long enough for a tall sleeper?
At 200cm long it suits most people up to around 6ft comfortably, and it's the same length as the UK super king, so sizing up buys you width rather than extra length. If one partner is tall, the move from a 190cm UK double to this UK king is often the upgrade that actually solves the problem.
Should I get the UK king or UK super king in this mattress?
The UK king is 30cm narrower than the UK super king, so the choice comes down to floor space. If your room clears 3.2m x 3.2m easily and you both want maximum space, the UK super king is worth considering. In an average UK bedroom, the UK king is usually the more sensible fit.
Where can I buy the Highgrove Willow Pocket 2000 in a UK king?
Compare the retailers listed on this page; the prices shown are updated as retailers change them. Highgrove publishes limited detail on this mattress's firmness and comfort layers, so it's sensible to read the retailer's own product page carefully before buying the UK king.
