Is the Hypnos Bespoke Amethyst double big enough for two adults?
It works for most couples: the UK double gives 67.5cm each for two people sharing. On an extra firm mattress you tend to sleep on the surface rather than sinking into a settled spot, so restless sleepers may notice the width more. If either of you spreads out, the UK king is 15cm wider.
What room size do I need for the Bespoke Amethyst in a UK double?
We suggest at least 2.6m x 2.8m, with around 3m x 3m the comfortable norm. That allows bedside tables on both sides and space to open wardrobe doors. This is our guidance rather than Hypnos's, so measure your own room, including radiators and door swings, before you commit.
Will a double Hypnos mattress fit up the stairs in an older house?
A hybrid with pocket springs can't be rolled or folded, so the 135 x 190cm double arrives at full size and needs to turn any stairs and landings as it is. In older terraces with tight turns, measure the awkward points first. The double is easier to manoeuvre than the UK king or UK super king.
Should I choose the Bespoke Amethyst in a double or a king?
Go by your room and how you sleep. The UK double is 15cm narrower and 10cm shorter than the UK king, and it suits bedrooms where we'd say a king dominates.
