- Cover. A 100% cotton ticking cover. Cotton is naturally breathable, which means less clamminess through the night.
- eOlusTM fibre. An innovative fibre layer that gives foam-like comfort without retaining heat or moisture. In practice, you get the cushioning of foam with less of the warmth.
- Polywool. Polywool blends the breathability of wool with the durability of polyester. It's a practical middle ground that should hold its shape well over time.
- Dual density layers. Sustainable recycled fibres that add resilience and support. These help the mattress keep its firm, stable feel.
- Traceable wool. Wool sourced from Woolkeepers® farms, naturally breathable and temperature-regulating. It helps keep you warm in winter and cooler in summer.
- ReActive™ 7-turn pocket springs. Pocket springs with a 7-turn design that promote spinal alignment and relieve pressure. Each spring moves independently, which means support that follows your body rather than pushing back as one flat surface.

- 90cm each for two sharers: That is a single bed's worth of width per person, which means one of you turning over barely registers on the other side.
- Firm support across the full width: The ReActive 7-turn pocket springs move independently, so even at 180cm wide the mattress supports each sleeper's weight separately rather than tilting toward the heavier one.
- Room for the whole household: When children or a large dog treat your bed as theirs, the extra width means everyone keeps a workable share rather than one adult clinging to the edge.
- Breathable under shared duvets: Two people plus occasional visitors generate heat, and the cotton ticking, traceable wool and eOlus fibre layer help this size stay cooler than a foam equivalent.
- Right-sized for a big master bedroom: In a period property or generous new build master, a UK king can look lost against the wall, while the super king fills the space properly.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and want the most space a standard UK size offers, your partner is genuinely restless and distance matters more to you than any comfort layer, or children and pets regularly end up in the bed and you both prefer an extra firm, supportive feel. Allow at least 3m x 2.9m of bedroom, with more feeling comfortable.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom is under 3m x 2.9m, or you sleep alone. We'd recommend the UK king instead: it's 30cm narrower and the same length, and we suggest at least 2.7m x 2.9m for the UK king.

How big is the Hypnos Bespoke Amethyst super king?
It measures 180 x 200cm, or 6ft x 6ft 6in, with a depth of 25cm. That gives two people sharing 90cm of width each, and the extra firm construction keeps the surface stable across that full span rather than sagging toward the middle.
What room size do I need for the Bespoke Amethyst in a UK super king?
We suggest at least 3m x 2.9m, and around 3.5m x 3.2m feels right, leaving space to walk round both sides and open wardrobes. That guidance is ours, not the manufacturer's. If your room falls short, the UK king needs at least 2.7m x 2.9m by our reckoning.
Is the super king Bespoke Amethyst good for restless partners?
Yes, arguably better than any comfort feature could be. With 90cm each, movement simply happens further away from you, and the pocket springs compress individually so a partner shifting position transfers little motion across the bed. The extra firm feel also means less roll-together than a softer mattress.
Will a super king Bespoke Amethyst get up my stairs?
Measure before you order. At 180cm wide this is the trickiest standard size to move, and tight landing turns or narrow door swings catch people out. Being a sprung mattress it won't fold like foam, so check the route to the bedroom carefully, including any loft stairs.
Is the extra firm feel a problem at this size?
Size doesn't change the feel: it's the same extra firm build as every other size, suiting back and front sleepers with heavier builds. What changes is the stakes. A super king is a big purchase to get wrong, so be certain you want extra firm rather than a medium middle ground.
