Cover
A 100% cotton ticking, which means a breathable, natural sleep surface rather than a synthetic one. Cotton wicks moisture, helpful if you tend to overheat at night.
Fillings
Woolkeepers wool blended with polycotton. Wool is naturally temperature-regulating, so it insulates in winter and breathes in summer.
Springs
1,200 ReActive 7-turn pocket springs in the king size. Each spring works independently, which means support that follows your shape and less motion transfer to a partner.
Layer details from furniturevillage.co.uk product page, September 2026.
- 90cm each for two sleepers: You get 90cm each when sharing, which means a restless partner is simply too far away to wake you, whatever the springs are doing.
- Two halves, one bed: The zip and link build splits the super king into two manageable sections, so awkward landings and narrow door frames stop being a reason to settle for a UK king.
- Space for night-time visitors: At 6ft x 6ft 6in there's genuine room when a child pads in at 3am, or a large dog treats the bed as routine, without anyone clinging to an edge.
- Independent support at full width: Pocket springs adjust to each sleeper separately, and across 180cm of width that isolation means one person turning over barely registers on the other side.
- Cool, natural fillings: Woolkeepers wool under a 100% cotton ticking regulates temperature naturally, welcome on a bed this size where two bodies, and sometimes more, share the covers.
This size suits you if...
You share every night and want the most sleeping space a standard UK size offers, your partner is genuinely restless and distance matters more than any comfort layer, or children and pets regularly join you and a UK king has started to feel crowded. It also suits a large master bedroom, where we'd allow at least 3m x 2.9m for the UK super king to sit comfortably.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom falls short of the 3m x 2.9m we suggest for a UK super king, or the extra width would crowd out wardrobes and walking space. We'd recommend the UK king instead: 30cm narrower, the same length, and we suggest at least 2.7m x 2.9m for it.

How much space do you each get on a super king Hypnos Bespoke Quartz?
Two people sharing the UK super king get 90cm each, the same width as a UK single apiece. Combined with pocket springs that respond to each sleeper independently, that distance means a partner who tosses and turns is much easier to sleep through than on a narrower size.
Will the super king version fit up my stairs?
More easily than most beds this size. The zip and link design means the UK super king arrives as two separate halves that join together, so each section is roughly single mattress width. Tight turns, small landings and narrow doorways that would defeat a one piece super king are usually manageable.
Is the Hypnos Bespoke Quartz super king worth it over the UK king?
If you share with a restless partner, or children and pets join you often, yes: the UK super king is 30cm wider than the UK king, and that extra width does more for undisturbed sleep than any filling. If you sleep alone or your room is modest, the UK king serves you well for less.
What room size do I need for this super king mattress?
We suggest at least 3m x 2.9m for a UK super king, and it feels more comfortable with extra space beyond that for bedside tables on both sides and room to walk around. In a loft conversion, check the ceiling slope too, since it often dictates which wall a bed this wide can take.
Can the two halves of the super king be used separately?
Yes. Unzipped, the two halves of this UK super king work as two single beds, the same footprint hotel zip and link setups use. That makes it a practical choice for a guest room that sometimes hosts a couple and sometimes two individuals, or for couples who occasionally want separate beds.
