Layer Details
Pillow top
A pillow top layer sits on the surface, which means a plush, cushioned feel as soon as you lie down.
Mini pocket springs
1,500 Adaptiv mini springs are layered on top of the latex. They add spring-based cushioning above the latex, so the soft top feel has some bounce to it.
Latex
Two plush layers of latex sit beneath the mini springs. That adds to the soft, cushioned feel and gives a gentle, springy comfort layer.
Base pocket springs
1,200 ReActivePro 6-turn pocket springs form the base. They carry your weight beneath the softer layers, which means the mattress stays supportive despite its plush top.

Key benefits
- Fits compact rooms: At 3ft x 6ft 3in, the UK single leaves space for a desk, wardrobe or toy storage, so a small bedroom doesn't end up as wall-to-wall bed.
- Soft feel for one: The pillow top and latex give a single sleeper plenty of cushioning under the shoulders and hips, which suits a side sleeper who wants some give.
- Two beds in a guest room: Pairing two UK singles lets a spare room sleep friends or siblings separately, each on the same plush, spring-supported surface.
- Easy bedding: A standard single duvet at 135 x 200cm fits, although at 31cm deep you'll want fitted sheets labelled as suitable for deeper mattresses.
- Handles for rotation: Turning handles make rotating the UK single simpler in a tight room, which helps when there's little space to manoeuvre around the bed.
This size suits you if...
You sleep alone and like a cushioned, medium soft surface, or you're furnishing a child's or teenager's room where the bed has to share floor space with a desk and wardrobe. It also suits a guest room where you want two separate beds side by side rather than one double.
Consider another size if...
You want more room to spread out than 90cm allows. We'd recommend the UK small double instead, which is 30cm wider at the same length; we suggest at least 2.4m x 2.8m for it.

FAQ's
Will the Hypnos Leamington Pillow Top Sublime single fit a bunk bed or mid sleeper?
Possibly not. The mattress is 31cm deep, and raised frames such as bunks, cabin beds and mid sleepers usually set a maximum mattress depth so the guard rail stays high enough to be safe. Check the frame maker's limit before buying. A standard bedstead or divan base is the safer home for a UK single this deep.
What size is the Hypnos Leamington Pillow Top Sublime UK single in feet?
The UK single measures 3ft x 6ft 3in, which is 90 x 190cm. That's the standard UK single size, so it should fit any ordinary single bedstead or divan base, and standard single bedding works, with deeper fitted sheets to cover its 31cm depth.
How much floor space do I need for a single mattress?
We suggest allowing at least 2.1m x 2.8m for a UK single. That leaves room to walk around the bed and open drawers or a wardrobe. If two singles are going into one guest room or a shared children's room, you'll need extra width for a walkway between them.
Is the Hypnos Leamington Pillow Top Sublime single a good choice for a teenager?
It can be, if your teenager likes a soft, cushioned bed and sleeps mostly on their side. The medium soft pillow top suits that well. A teen who sleeps on their front or prefers a firmer feel may find it too forgiving, and a fast-growing older teen might appreciate the extra width of a UK small double.
Should I get a single or small double Hypnos Leamington Pillow Top Sublime?
The UK single is 30cm narrower than the UK small double, and both are the same length. If you sleep alone in a compact room, the UK single keeps more floor free. If you have space, we suggest at least 2.4m x 2.8m for the UK small double, which gives a solo sleeper noticeably more room to turn over.
