- Proper space for two: At 75cm each for two people sharing, you can both change position without negotiating for territory.
- Pocket springs limit partner disturbance: The springs move independently, which means one of you getting up at 5am transfers less motion across the bed than a traditional sprung unit would.
- Extra length for taller sleepers: The UK king is 10cm longer than the UK Double, a genuine relief if one of you is approaching six foot and used to feet at the edge.
- Edge support you can actually use: Triple Edge Protection™ suggests reinforced sides, which means the full 150cm width is usable rather than the outer strip feeling like a slope.
- Medium feel suits mismatched sleepers: A medium tension is a fair compromise when one of you sleeps on your side and the other on your back.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and a double leaves you touching elbows, one of you gets up hours before the other and you want that exit to go unnoticed, or one of you is tall and keeps finding feet hanging off a 190cm mattress. The dog claiming a corner each night is another good reason for the extra width.
Consider another size if...
You sleep alone or your bedroom falls short of the 2.7m x 2.9m we suggest for a UK king. In that case we'd recommend the UK double instead, which needs at least 2.6m x 2.8m.

Is the Hypnos Legacy 1 in a UK king big enough for a couple?
Yes, comfortably. You get 75cm each for two people sharing, and the UK king is 15cm wider than the UK Double, a difference you notice on the first night. The pocket spring construction also keeps movement localised, so a restless partner is less of a problem than the extra width alone would suggest.
Will a UK king Hypnos Legacy 1 fit in my bedroom?
We suggest a room of at least 2.7m x 2.9m for a UK king, which leaves space to walk round both sides and open drawers. New build master bedrooms can be tighter than they look once fitted wardrobes go in, so measure the usable floor rather than the room on the plan.
Is the UK king Legacy 1 long enough for someone over six foot?
At 200cm, the UK king is 10cm longer than the UK Double, and for a taller sleeper that length is often the real upgrade. If your feet currently reach the end of a 190cm mattress, this size solves it without moving up to a UK super king.
Should I choose the Legacy 1 in a UK king or a UK super king?
The UK king is 30cm narrower than the UK Super King, and the two are the same length. If your room meets the 3m x 2.9m we suggest for a UK super king and you want maximum separation, size up. For most couples, the UK king is the better balance of space and floor plan.
Does one partner getting up early disturb the other on this mattress?
Less than you might expect. The pocket springs compress independently, so weight shifting on one side doesn't lever the other side up, and the 150cm width means you're rarely in direct contact anyway. Slightly firmer edges from the Triple Edge Protection™ should also make a quiet exit from the side easier.
