- Proper space for two: You get 75cm each for two people sharing, enough room to change position without negotiating for territory.
- Less partner disturbance: Pocket springs move independently, and the wider UK king puts more distance between you, so an early alarm on one side travels less to the other.
- Length for taller sleepers: At 200cm long, the UK king gives anyone approaching six foot room to stretch out without their feet meeting the end of the bed.
- A medium feel that shares well: The medium firmness sits in the range most couples can agree on, which helps when two people with different preferences buy one mattress.
- Room for a restless night: If pregnancy, injury recovery or a dog with strong opinions about bed space is part of your nights, the extra width absorbs it far better than a double.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and a double has started to feel like a compromise, one of you is on a different schedule and you want movement on one side felt less on the other, or someone in the bed is approaching six foot and needs the 200cm length. Your room also comfortably clears our suggested minimum of 2.7m x 2.9m.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom is under our suggested 2.7m x 2.9m minimum, or you sleep alone and would rather spend on quality than width. We'd recommend the UK double instead, which needs a slightly smaller room at 2.6m x 2.8m.

Is the Hypnos Legacy 2 in a UK king big enough for a couple?
Yes, comfortably for most. It gives 75cm each for two people sharing, and the pocket sprung construction responds to each of you individually, so a heavier partner won't pull the lighter one into a dip. If one of you sprawls, or a dog joins you most nights, the UK king absorbs that far better than a double.
Will a UK king Hypnos Legacy 2 fit in my bedroom?
The mattress itself is 150 x 200cm, but the room needs to work around it. We suggest at least 2.7m x 2.9m so you can walk both sides and open drawers without shuffling sideways. New build master bedrooms can be tighter than they first appear once wardrobes go in, so measure the usable floor, not the whole room.
Is the UK king long enough if I'm over six foot?
At 200cm, the UK king is 10cm longer than the UK double, and for taller sleepers that length is often the real reason to size up. Someone around six foot gets clearance rather than feet pressed against the footboard. If you're well over six foot, note the UK super king is the same length, so going wider won't buy you more.
Should I choose the Hypnos Legacy 2 in a UK king or a UK super king?
The UK super king is 30cm wider than the UK king, the same length, and needs a bigger room: we suggest at least 3m x 2.9m for it. If you regularly share with a child or pet, or you both like a lot of personal space, the extra width is genuinely useful. For most couples, the UK king is the more practical fit.
Does the UK king reduce partner disturbance on this mattress?
It helps in two ways. The pocket springs in the Hypnos Legacy 2 compress independently, so movement on one side transfers less across the bed. The width does the rest: with 75cm each, a partner leaving at 6am is simply further away. It won't make a restless sleeper invisible, but the difference over a double is real.
