- Sleep surface. An organic wool and cotton breathable sleep surface. Wool naturally wicks moisture and regulates temperature, which means a drier, more comfortable feel through the night.
- Natural comfort layer. A natural blanket of moisture-wicking cotton, hemp and flax. These fibres draw dampness away from your body, helpful if you tend to sleep warm.
- Latex layers. Two latex layers provide the pressure relief. Latex responds quickly as you move, cushioning hips and shoulders without the sunken feeling some foams create.
- Spring system. Hypnos' ReActivePro® 7-turn pocket spring system, with each spring moving individually. That independent movement means the mattress responds to your shape and limits disturbance from a restless partner.

- A footprint for compact rooms: At 90cm wide, it leaves space for a desk, wardrobe and toy storage in a child's bedroom, and we suggest a room of at least 2.1m x 2.8m.
- Organic materials where it matters most: The Soil Association certification means a child or teen sleeps on independently verified organic wool, cotton, hemp and latex rather than synthetic foams.
- Firm support in a one-person size: The ReActivePro 7-turn pocket springs move individually and respond to your shape, so a single sleeper gets support across the whole 90cm width.
- Cool for warm sleepers: The wool and cotton sleep surface wicks moisture and steadies temperature, useful in a small bedroom or a loft room that heats up in summer.
- Guest rooms that see regular use: For a spare room that doubles as an office, the single's slim footprint keeps the floor usable while still offering visitors a genuinely well-made bed.
This size suits you if...
You're buying for one sleeper who likes a firm bed, you want verified organic materials in a child's or teenager's room and see the mattress as a long-term purchase, or your spare room needs a proper bed that still leaves floor space free for a desk or storage.
Consider another size if...
You're an adult who spreads out at night or occasionally shares the bed. The UK double would suit you better: it's 45cm wider than the UK single and the same length, and we suggest at least 2.6m x 2.8m of floor space for it.

Is the Hypnos Organics 2 UK single a good choice for a child?
The organic materials are a real draw for a child's bed, and the Soil Association certification means those claims are independently verified. The caution is firmness: this is a firm-tension mattress, and lighter sleepers, which most children are, may find it presses a little on hips and shoulders, particularly side sleepers.
Can I use the Hypnos Organics 2 single on a bunk or mid sleeper frame?
Be careful here. The mattress is 27cm deep, which is deeper than many raised frames allow: bunk beds in particular often specify a maximum depth so the guard rail still sits safely above the mattress. Check your frame's stated limit before buying, as this mattress will exceed it on many bunks.
What room size do I need for the Hypnos Organics 2 in a UK single?
The mattress measures 90 x 190cm, and we suggest a room of at least 2.1m x 2.8m. That allowance covers walking space and a bedside table, so in practice a UK single fits comfortably in box rooms, loft conversions with a narrow usable strip, and shared children's rooms with two beds and a walkway.
Should a solo adult buy the UK single or size up to the UK double?
If your room allows it, sizing up is tempting: the UK double is 45cm wider than the UK single and the same length, and we suggest at least 2.6m x 2.8m of floor space for it. If your bedroom is smaller than that, or the bed shares the room with a desk, the UK single is the practical choice.
Is the Hypnos Organics 2 single worth it for a guest room?
It depends how often the bed is used. For a spare room that hosts guests most weeks, or doubles as a regular bed for a returning student, the organic construction and firm support are a genuine upgrade. For a bed slept in a few nights a year, this level of craftsmanship is hard to justify.
