Layer Details
- ClimaCool foam comfort layer. A 5 cm layer of ClimaCool foam infused with Phase Change particles and carbon crystals. These work to absorb and release heat, which means a cooler sleeping surface through the night.
- Pocket springs. A base of 3,300 pocket springs in the king size. Each spring moves independently, so support follows the shape of your body and movement on one side is less likely to disturb the other.
Layer details from furniturevillage.co.uk product page, September 2026.
- 90cm each for two sharing: Each of you gets 90cm of width, so a partner who turns all night is far enough away that you barely register it.
- Pocket springs limit disturbance further: The springs move independently, which means movement on one side is contained rather than sent rolling across all 180cm of the bed.
- Cooling matters more with company: Two bodies produce more heat than one, and the ClimaCool foam's Phase Change particles and carbon crystals draw that warmth away from the surface.
- Space for children and pets: When a child wanders in at 3am, or a large dog treats the bed as routine, 6ft of width means everyone still gets a share.
- Firm support across the full width: The firm feel holds steady edge to edge, so sleepers spread across a super king get consistent support rather than a soft middle.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and want the most distance a standard UK size allows, your partner is genuinely restless and space matters more to you than any comfort layer, or children and pets regularly join you and a UK king has started to feel crowded. Your bedroom should measure at least 3m x 2.9m, with more feeling comfortable.
Consider another size if...
Your room is under our suggested 3m x 2.9m minimum, or a bed this size would dominate the space. We'd recommend the Kaymed ClimaCool 3300 in a UK king instead, which is 30cm narrower, the same length, and needs at least 2.7m x 2.9m.

Will a super king Kaymed ClimaCool 3300 fit in my bedroom?
The mattress measures 180 x 200cm, and we suggest a room of at least 3m x 2.9m so you can walk round both sides and open drawers. In a loft conversion, the slope will usually decide which wall takes the bed, so measure standing height where your head and feet would go before committing.
Is the UK super king worth it over the UK king for this mattress?
If a restless partner or visiting children are the issue, yes. The UK super king is 30cm wider than the UK king at the same length, and that extra width does more for undisturbed sleep than any comfort layer can. If your room is tight, though, the UK king remains the sensible choice.
Can I get the Kaymed ClimaCool 3300 super king up the stairs?
It's a 29cm deep hybrid with a pocket spring core, so it won't roll or fold. At 180cm wide it needs careful measuring of stairwells, landing turns and door swings before delivery day. Kaymed doesn't publish a weight for this size, so plan for two people to move it regardless.
Does a super king make the ClimaCool cooling work better?
The ClimaCool foam performs the same at any size, but the size helps in a different way. Two sleepers with 90cm each share less body heat than they would pressed together on a smaller mattress, so the cooling layer has less warmth to deal with in the first place.
Is a super king too much bed for two people?
For most couples in an average room, a UK king is plenty. The super king suits you when someone in the bed moves a lot, when children or a dog join you regularly, or when a large master bedroom makes smaller sizes look undersized. Budget for larger bedding too: super king sheets and a 260 x 220cm duvet.
