- Knitted Cover. A soft knitted cover that's breathable, which means heat can escape rather than build up around you. It helps keep you at an even temperature through the night.
- Reflex Foam. Reflex foam conforms to the shape of your body, which means you get tailored support where you need it. It's designed to help your spinal alignment and posture, giving a comfortable, supportive night's sleep.
Layer details from mattressnextday.co.uk product page, September 2026.
- Proper space for two: At 75cm each for two people sharing, you can both change position without negotiating, which is the main reason couples upgrade from a UK double.
- Foam keeps disturbance down: An all-foam build transfers less movement than springs, so a partner leaving for an early shift is less likely to wake you on a bed this wide.
- Extra length for taller sleepers: The UK king is 10cm longer than the UK double at 200cm, a real difference if either of you is approaching six foot.
- Medium firm support across the full width: Reflex foam over high-density foam keeps your spine aligned wherever you settle, useful when 150cm of width means you're rarely in the same spot twice.
- Manageable in a normal master bedroom: We suggest allowing at least 2.7m x 2.9m, which most UK master bedrooms can meet, unlike the demands of a UK super king.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and have outgrown a UK double, especially if one of you gets up hours before the other and you want the width and the movement-absorbing foam working together. It also suits taller sleepers who want the 200cm length, and couples in a typical master bedroom who can allow at least 2.7m x 2.9m.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom is under our suggested 2.7m x 2.9m minimum, or you sleep alone. We'd recommend the UK double instead, which needs at least 2.6m x 2.8m and keeps the same medium firm feel.

Is a UK king big enough for a couple with a dog on the bed?
Usually, yes. Two people sharing a UK king get 75cm each, and a dog that sleeps across the foot or along one side eats into that less than it would on a UK double. If a large dog is a fixture every night, the UK super king's 90cm each is the more comfortable answer.
Will the UK king fit in a new build master bedroom?
Often, but measure first. New build masters can feel smaller once fitted wardrobes go in, and we suggest allowing at least 2.7m x 2.9m for a UK king so you can walk round both sides. If your room falls short, the UK double needs at least 2.6m x 2.8m.
Does the foam help if my partner gets up earlier than me?
It helps on two fronts. Foam absorbs movement rather than bouncing it across the bed the way springs can, and the UK king's 150cm width puts more distance between you. Neither makes an early alarm silent, but the combination makes a 5am departure far less disruptive than it would be on a narrower spring mattress.
Is the UK king long enough for someone over six foot?
At 200cm, or 6ft 6in, the UK king gives a six-footer around a foot of clearance, and it's 10cm longer than the UK double. That extra length is often the real reason taller sleepers size up. The UK super king is the same length, so going wider still wouldn't buy you any more legroom.
Where can I buy this mattress in a UK king?
Compare the retailers listed on this page. The prices shown here are live and updated as retailers change them, so checking the table is more reliable than any figure we could print. Availability by size can shift too, which is another reason to check before you decide between the UK king and a sibling size.
