Pillow top comfort layer
A pillow top filled with a blend of wool, cotton, silk and cashgora. It gives the surface a soft, cushioned feel without relying on foam.
Micro springs
3000 Comfonomic micro springs provide pressure relief and targeted support, so the mattress responds closely to your shape.
Pocket springs
1000 ergonomic pocket springs form the internal support system. They give the mattress its underlying support and stop the soft top from feeling vague.

Key benefits
- Distance from a restless partner: You each get 90cm of width, which means a partner who turns over all night is far less likely to wake you.
- Room when the family piles in: At 6ft x 6ft 6in, a child who wanders in at 3am or a large dog that sleeps on the bed can join without anyone losing their share.
- Edges you can actually use: The reinforced edge uses a rod frame and butterfly springs, so the outer strip stays supportive when someone else has claimed the middle.
- Handles for a heavy rotation: Turning handles make it easier to rotate a mattress this large, which helps because it's single-sided and can't be flipped.
- Right scale for a big bedroom: In a period property or a generous master bedroom, where a UK king can look slightly lost, the UK super king fills the space properly.
This size suits you if...
You share with a partner whose movement keeps waking you, or your children and pets regularly end up in bed with you. It also suits you if your bedroom is at least 3m x 2.9m and you'd like a medium, cushioned feel across the full width.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom is smaller than 3m x 2.9m, or you mostly sleep alone. We'd recommend the UK king instead, which we suggest for rooms of at least 2.7m x 2.9m.

FAQ's
Is the Millbrook Smooth Tech 4000 Pillow Top UK super king big enough for two adults and a child?
For occasional night-time visits, yes. Two adults get 90cm each, and the reinforced edge means whoever ends up near the side still has support rather than a sagging rim. If a child sleeps with you every night, the space will feel tighter, but the UK super king is the largest size Millbrook makes in this mattress.
What size bedroom do I need for a UK super king Millbrook Smooth Tech 4000?
We suggest at least 3m x 2.9m, although around 3.5m x 3.2m feels more comfortable once you add bedside tables on both sides and room to walk round. In a loft conversion, check which wall gives you full head height on both sides before committing, because a 180cm-wide bed limits where it can go.
Should I choose the UK super king or UK king Smooth Tech 4000 for a restless partner?
The UK super king is 30cm wider than the UK king and the same length, giving you 15cm more each. With someone who moves a lot, that gap makes a real difference. If your room is under 3m x 2.9m, the UK king is the better fit, and we suggest at least 2.7m x 2.9m for it.
What bedding fits a UK super king pillow top mattress?
You'll need super king sheets and a 260 x 220cm duvet. At 32cm deep, the Smooth Tech 4000 Pillow Top also needs deep fitted sheets, so check the pocket depth before buying. Bedding at this size costs more than for a UK king, so factor that into your budget.
Will a super king mattress fit up my stairs?
Measure before you order. Millbrook doesn't publish a weight for this mattress or say whether it arrives compressed, so check that doorways, the landing turn and the bedroom door swing can clear a 180cm width and 32cm depth. Tight Victorian staircases are where super kings most often get stuck.
