- Cover. A soft-touch cotton-viscose fabric infused with M-Pure, a 100% natural, plant-based treatment. It's naturally fire resistant, which means no added chemical fire retardants in the cover.
- Comfort fillings. Luxury Hampshire fleece wool blended with layers of English cotton, traditionally hand-tufted. Wool and cotton breathe well, so this layer helps keep you at a steadier temperature through the night.
- Mini pocket springs. Small, individually cased springs sit near the surface to add comfort and soothing pressure relief. They respond to your shape more precisely than fillings alone would.
- Pocket spring support system. 4000 pocket springs zoned in 7 areas, an arrangement Millbrook calls ErgoZone 7. Each spring is individually encased and adapts to your movement, which means support that follows your body rather than the whole bed dipping.
- Edge support. Metal rods sit above and below the spring unit, held in place with butterfly clips. This reinforces the edges, so you can use the full width of the mattress without the sides sagging.

We suggest a room of at least 3m x 2.9m for the UK super king. That's our own guidance, not Millbrook's, and it's a minimum: you'll want clear space for bedside tables on both sides and room to walk round the foot of the bed. Measure before you order, including door swing.
Is the super king Millbrook Wool Luxury 4000 difficult to move?
It's a heavy, traditionally built pocket spring mattress, and at 180 x 200cm this is the heaviest size in the range. It has turning handles, which help, but plan on two people for rotating it and check your staircase and landing turns before delivery day. It doesn't arrive rolled, so it needs a clear route upstairs.
Is the Millbrook Wool Luxury 4000 super king good for restless couples?
It's a strong fit. The 90cm each for two people sharing puts real distance between you, and because all 4000 springs are individually encased, movement on one side doesn't travel across the bed. Distance plus pocket springs does more for disturbed sleep than any comfort layer can.
Do both sleepers get zoned support on the super king?
Yes. The ErgoZone 7 system runs across the whole mattress, so each of you gets firmer support under the hips and a little more give at the shoulders, regardless of which side you sleep on. At this width, two sleepers of quite different builds can each be supported properly without disturbing the other.
Will children or pets sharing the bed affect the mattress edges?
The edges are reinforced with metal rods and butterfly clips above and below the spring unit, so someone sleeping or perching right at the side is properly supported.
