- Knitted cover. A soft knitted finish that adds a touch of cosiness, which means the firm surface underneath doesn't feel harsh against you. It's designed for airflow and breathability, helpful if you tend to sleep warm.
- Memory foam layer. A 5cm layer of memory foam that adapts to your body and moulds around your shape. This is what softens the firm feel at pressure points like hips and shoulders.
- Soft white fibre layer. A small fibre layer that works with the tufted finish to smooth out the sleeping surface. You'll feel it as a slightly softer top rather than foam sitting straight on firm padding.
- Dense soft white fibre layer. Densely packed fibres that reinforce the firmness of the mattress. This is where the firm character really comes from, sitting between the comfort layers and the springs.
- Pocket springs. 1,500 individual springs encased in cloth pockets, so each one responds to your body independently and movement transfers less across the bed. Firmer springs on the outer rows, which Relyon calls Calibar Edge, limit dipping when you sit or sleep near the side.

Is the Relyon Rufford super king good for a restless partner?
It is one of the better setups for it. The UK super king gives 90cm each, so there is more physical distance between you, and the pocket springs respond independently, which means less movement travels across. Distance does most of the work here; the springs reduce what is left.

Is a UK super king Rufford big enough for two adults and a child?
It gives the most room of any size in this range, which helps on nights when a child ends up in the middle. The firmer outer springs also mean the adult pushed to the edge is less likely to feel it dip. For a child in the bed every night, the extra width is the main reason to choose it.
Will a Relyon Rufford super king fit in a loft conversion bedroom?
Check the full-height floor area rather than the total floor area. At 180 x 200cm, the bed needs a wall where you can sit up without hitting the slope, and we suggest at least 3m x 2.9m of room overall. If the headroom only allows a smaller space, the UK king is the safer choice.
Can you share a Rufford super king with a large dog?
You can, but the 90cm each figure assumes two people, so a dog takes its space from someone's share.
