Layer Details
- Cover. A knitted, microquilted soft-touch cover, which means a slightly cushioned, cosy surface the moment you lie down. It's designed for enhanced airflow and breathability, so warmth doesn't build up against your skin.
- Comfort Layer. Eco Comfort Fibre fillings that are 100% sustainable and made from recycled materials. They offer cooling and breathability, so you get cushioning without the heat retention some foams can bring.
- Support System. 1000 individual Mirapocket springs, each encased in its own fabric pocket and strengthened by polyester walls. Because each spring responds independently to your body shape, you get pressure relief where you sink and support where you don't.
Layer details from mattressonline.co.uk product page, September 2026.
- Less partner disturbance: Pocket springs respond one by one rather than as a unit, and the UK king's extra width keeps you further from each other's movement in the first place.
- Extra length for taller sleepers: The UK king is 10cm longer than the UK Double, a genuine relief if one of you is approaching six foot and used to feet hanging off the end.
- Room to spread out: At 75cm each for two people sharing, you can change position freely, which suits pregnancy, recovery from surgery or simply a restless sleeper.
- Budget-friendly at a big size: This is an entry-level mattress, so upgrading to a UK king costs less here than it would on most pocket spring models.
- Breathable at scale: The recycled Eco Comfort Fibre fillings let air move through, useful when two bodies share one mattress and warmth builds quickly.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and a double leaves you nudging elbows, one of you gets up hours before the other and wants their exit to go unnoticed, or one partner is tall enough that the 200cm length is the real draw. It also suits couples whose dog treats the bed as its own, where a slice of extra width stops anyone ending up on the edge.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom is smaller than the 2.7m x 2.9m we suggest as a minimum, or you sleep alone. In either case we'd recommend the UK double instead, which needs a room of at least 2.6m x 2.8m.

Is the Mirapocket 1000 in a UK king good for couples?
It's a sensible fit. The 1000 pocket springs each move independently, so when one of you turns over the movement stays local rather than travelling across the bed. Combined with 75cm each for two people sharing, most couples will disturb each other noticeably less than on a double. Very restless sleepers may still feel some transfer at this price point.
Will a UK king Mirapocket 1000 fit in my bedroom?
The mattress itself is 150 x 200cm, or 5ft x 6ft 6in. We suggest a room of at least 2.7m x 2.9m, with 3.2m x 3.2m comfortable, to leave space for wardrobes and walking room on both sides. New build master bedrooms can be tighter than they appear once furniture goes in, so measure with the wardrobes accounted for.
Is the UK king long enough for someone over six foot?
At 200cm, the UK king gives you 10cm more length than the UK Double, and that's often the difference between feet on the mattress and feet over the edge. If length is your main reason for sizing up, this is the size where it arrives: the UK Super King is wider still but exactly the same length.
Is it worth going from a double to a king with this mattress?
If you share, usually yes. The UK king is 15cm wider and 10cm longer than the UK Double, and because the Mirapocket 1000 sits at the affordable end of pocket spring mattresses, the step up costs less than it would on a premium model. Should I choose the UK king or the UK super king?
The UK king is 30cm narrower than the UK Super King, and both are the same length. If your room meets the 3m x 2.9m we suggest for the UK Super King and you want maximum personal space, size up. If space is tighter or you'd rather spend less, the UK king still gives 75cm each for two people sharing.
