For most couples, yes. The UK king gives you 75cm each, which is 7.5cm more per person than the 67.5cm each a UK double allows. That extra width is a little more breathing room on your own side of the split firmness, although broad-shouldered sleepers who spread out may still want more.
What size bedroom do I need for a UK king Yours & Mine UltraGel?
We suggest allowing at least 2.7m x 2.9m for a UK king, and 3.2m x 3.2m is more comfortable if you want space to walk round both sides. New build master bedrooms can feel smaller than their floor plans suggest once fitted wardrobes go in, so measure the clear floor rather than the whole room.
Is the Silentnight Yours & Mine king long enough for someone over 6ft?
It is 200cm long, which is 10cm longer than a UK double. For a partner around 6ft, that extra length usually means lying straight with the pillow where it should be, rather than sliding down the bed to keep their feet on it.
Should we get the Yours & Mine UltraGel in a UK king or UK super king?
The UK super king gives you 90cm each, so the UK king gives 15cm less each, while both are the same length. If you have the floor space, we suggest at least 3m x 2.9m for the UK super king. If your room is tighter, the UK king still gives each of you a proper half to yourself.
