- Knitted cover. A soft knitted finish that adds a cosy, warm feel to the sleep surface. It's designed to help airflow and breathability rather than trap heat.
- Wool and Silk comfort layer. Natural wool and silk fibres with moisture wicking properties, which means they draw dampness away from your body to help regulate temperature. A nice touch at this price point.
- Polycotton comfort layer. A cotton and polyester blend that keeps the comfort layers breathable. It sits between the natural fibres and the fillings below.
- High density white fibres. Dense fibre fillings that give the mattress its body and cushioning. These sit directly above the springs to soften the surface feel.
- Pocket springs. 1400 pocket springs, each encased in its own fabric pocket so it moves independently. In practice, that means the mattress adapts to your shape and limits how much you feel a partner's movement.
Layer details from mattressonline.co.uk product page, September 2026.
- More room each: At 75cm each for two sharing, the UK king gives you 7.5cm more each than the UK double, enough that elbows and knees meet a little less often.
- Fewer early-morning wake-ups: Each of the 1400 springs sits in its own pocket, which means one partner leaving for a 5am shift sends less movement across to the side still sleeping.
- Extra length for taller partners: The UK king is 10cm longer than the UK double, which means a partner nearing six foot is less likely to find their feet at the very edge.
- Cooler with two bodies in bed: Two sleepers make more heat than one, and the wool and silk layer wicks moisture away, which helps keep both sides of the bed feeling fresher.
- Fits a smaller master bedroom: We suggest at least 2.7m x 2.9m, so measure a new build master bedroom after the wardrobes go in rather than from the floor plan.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and your UK double has started to feel cramped, you and your partner keep different hours and want less movement when one of you gets up, or one of you is tall enough to find a 190cm bed slightly short.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom is smaller than our suggested minimum of 2.7m x 2.9m. We'd recommend the UK double instead, for which we suggest at least 2.6m x 2.8m.

Is the Sleepeezee Luxury 1400 UK king big enough for two people?
For most couples, yes. The UK king gives 75cm each for two sharing, which is 7.5cm more each than the UK double. If you both sprawl or a dog joins you most nights, the UK super king gives 90cm each, although it needs a larger room.
Is the Sleepeezee Luxury 1400 king size long enough for tall people?
The UK king is 200cm long, or 6ft 6in, which is 10cm longer than the UK double. It is the same length as the UK super king, so a tall sleeper gains no extra length by sizing up. Only the width changes.
Will I feel my partner move on a UK king Sleepeezee Luxury 1400?
You should feel less than on a single-unit spring. The 1400 springs are individually pocketed, so they respond to whoever is lying on them, and the UK king gives each of you 75cm. That combination helps if one of you gets up hours before the other.
Should I get the Sleepeezee Luxury 1400 in a UK king or UK super king?
The UK king is 30cm narrower than the UK super king and gives 15cm less each, but both are 200cm long. We suggest at least 2.7m x 2.9m for the UK king and at least 3m x 2.9m for the UK super king, so your room often decides it.
Will a Sleepeezee Luxury 1400 UK king fit in a new build master bedroom?
Often, but measure first. We suggest at least 2.7m x 2.9m, with 3.2m x 3.2m feeling comfortable. New build bedrooms can shrink noticeably once fitted wardrobes are in, so measure the clear floor space, including room to walk around both sides.
