Layer Details
- Knitted cover. A knitted cover tops the mattress, adding a final soft layer against you.
- Microquilted layer. A micro-quilted finish gives the surface a smooth, soft feel from the first night.
- Soft White Fibres. Soft synthetic fillings sit near the top to create a cosy feel. This is where much of the plushness comes from.
- Memory Foam. Memory foam cradles your shape for a cushioned feel, which means pressure is spread rather than concentrated. It's made with graphite to help disperse body heat.
- Mini Pocket Springs. Small, individually cased springs add a responsive comfort layer with soothing pressure relief.
- Pocket Springs. The main support layer: springs encased in individual cloth pockets that adapt to movement, distributing support to each part of your body.

- Space you can feel: At 75cm each, you get 7.5cm more personal width than on a UK double, which means fewer nudged elbows and less creeping towards the edge.
- Calmer early starts: If one partner leaves hours before the other, the extra width and individually pocketed springs should help keep that early exit from travelling across to whoever is still asleep.
- Length for taller sleepers: At 200cm long, the UK king adds 10cm over a UK double, so a partner over six foot is less likely to find their feet at the end.
- Room for support pillows: During pregnancy and the months after, the UK king leaves space for a bump or body pillow between you without pushing either partner to the edge.
- A manageable footprint: We suggest at least 2.7m x 2.9m for the UK king, a little less floor space than the 3m x 2.9m we suggest for the UK super king.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and keep bumping into each other on a UK double, one of you is over six foot and wants the extra length, or you keep different hours and want a little more distance from a partner's early alarm.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom is smaller than our suggested 2.7m x 2.9m, particularly once wardrobes are in. We'd recommend the UK double instead, which needs at least 2.6m x 2.8m.

Is the Sleepeezee Memory Ultimate 9500 UK king big enough for two people?
For most couples, yes. The UK king gives 75cm each for two sharing, compared with 67.5cm each on the UK double. That extra 7.5cm per person is slight on paper, but it gives you a bit more room to turn over without meeting your partner halfway.
Will my partner's movement disturb me on the Memory Ultimate 9500 in a UK king?
The main support layer uses pocket springs in individual cloth pockets, which respond to each part of the body separately rather than as one unit. Across a 150cm width, that and the added personal space should help reduce the jolt when a restless or early-rising partner moves, although very light sleepers may still notice some movement.
Is the UK king Memory Ultimate 9500 long enough if I'm over six foot?
The UK king is 200cm long (6ft 6in), which is 10cm longer than the UK double. If length is your main reason for upgrading, note that the UK super king is the same length, so the UK king gives you the extra length without needing a wider room.
Should I get the Memory Ultimate 9500 in a UK super king instead of a UK king?
Choose the UK super king if width matters more than floor space. It is 30cm wider and gives 90cm each, so the UK king gives 15cm less each. We suggest at least 3m x 2.9m for the UK super king, against 2.7m x 2.9m for the UK king.
Do I need deep fitted sheets for the Sleepeezee Memory Ultimate 9500 UK king?
Yes. At 36cm deep, the mattress is taller than many standard fitted sheets allow for, so look for a deep-fitted UK king sheet. Check the pocket depth on the packaging before you buy, as a sheet that is too shallow tends to pull off at the corners.
