- Cover. A chemical-free polyester and viscose cover. Viscose is a soft, breathable fibre, so the sleep surface feels smooth rather than synthetic.
- Fillings. All-natural, chemical-free cotton and Hampshire wool fillings. Wool regulates temperature naturally, which means it helps keep you warm in winter and cooler in summer.
- Springs. 1,000 individually pocketed springs in the king size. Each spring moves on its own, so the mattress responds to your shape and limits motion transfer across the bed.
- Border. A ventilated border with two rows of stitching for edge support. The ventilation helps air move through the mattress, and the stitching firms up the sides so the edge doesn't sag when you sit on it.

Will the Boutique Ortho single fit a bunk bed or mid sleeper?
The UK single matches the standard frame size, but this mattress is 28cm deep, which is deeper than many raised frames are designed for. A thicker mattress reduces the height of the guard rail above it. Check your bunk or mid sleeper maker's maximum mattress depth before buying, as that limit matters more than the width.
How much room do I need for a Boutique Ortho UK single?
We suggest allowing at least 2.1m x 2.8m of floor space for a UK single. That leaves room to walk round the bed and open drawers or a wardrobe. In a loft conversion, place the bed along the lowest wall so the full-height part of the room stays free.
Is the Boutique Ortho UK single a good mattress for a teenager?
For a teenager who sleeps on their back or front, or is heavier and wants firm support, yes. The wool fillings help if they sleep warm. A slim teenager who sleeps on their side may find it too firm at the shoulder and hip, so think about how they sleep before committing.

Can I put two Boutique Ortho singles in a guest room?
Yes, and twin singles let two guests who aren't a couple sleep separately on the same firm support. Each bed needs its own footprint of 90 x 190cm, plus a walkway between the two beds. Measure the room before ordering, as two single beds need much more floor space than our single-bed guidance.
