- Cover. A Belgian Damask viscose sleep surface that feels silky and soft to the touch. It's highly breathable, which helps keep the sleeping environment feeling fresher through the night.
- Comfort fillings. A rich blend of sustainably sourced British wool, cotton, cashmere and silk. These natural fibres breathe well and regulate temperature, so you're less likely to overheat than on synthetic fillings.
- Support system. 9,000 individually pocketed springs with a soft tension. Each spring compresses on its own, which means the mattress contours to your body and limits motion transfer from a partner.
Layer details from mattressnextday.co.uk product page, September 2026.
- Room to settle apart: At 150 x 200cm, the UK king gives each of you 75cm, which means enough width to turn over without meeting a partner's elbow halfway across.
- Quieter early starts: The 9,000 pocketed springs compress individually, so when one of you gets up hours before the other, the movement stays mostly on their side of the UK king.
- Extra length for taller sleepers: The UK king is 10cm longer than the UK double, a small change on paper that you will notice if either of you is approaching 6ft.
- Space for extra pillows: The soft tension eases pressure at the shoulders and hips, and the UK king leaves room for a pregnancy or support pillow without pushing anyone towards the edge.
- Easy to plan in feet: In imperial terms the UK king measures 5ft x 6ft 6in, which helps if your bed frame or room plan is marked in feet rather than centimetres.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and keep disturbing each other on a UK double, one of you is approaching 6ft and needs the extra length, or you keep different hours and want a softer mattress that keeps movement on the side it starts.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom is smaller than our suggested 2.7m x 2.9m once wardrobes and bedside tables are in. We'd recommend the UK double instead, which we suggest for rooms of at least 2.6m x 2.8m.

Is the Allure 9000 UK king big enough for two people?
For most couples, yes. The UK king gives 75cm each, which is 7.5cm more each than the UK double. If you both sprawl or share with a dog, the UK super king gives 90cm each, although it needs a larger room.
Will the Allure 9000 in a UK king suit a tall partner?
It should suit most taller sleepers well. The UK king is 200cm long, which is 10cm longer than the UK double and the same length as the UK super king. So if length is your main reason to upgrade, the UK king gives you it without the extra width.
Does a UK king Allure 9000 reduce partner disturbance?
It helps in two ways. The pocketed springs move independently, limiting how much movement travels across the bed, and the UK king adds space between you compared with the UK double. Light sleepers sharing with an early riser tend to notice both.
Should I get the Allure 9000 in a UK king or super king?
Choose the UK king if your room is at least 2.7m x 2.9m but not large enough for the UK super king, which we suggest for at least 3m x 2.9m. The UK king gives 15cm less each, but most couples find 75cm each comfortable.
Is the Allure 9000 king size good during pregnancy?
It can be a sensible choice. The soft tension suits side sleeping, which many people favour during pregnancy, and the 75cm each on a UK king leaves room for a full-length support pillow. Heavier sleepers may find it a little too soft, so check how it feels for you.
