How much floor space does the Elysium 7000 UK single need?
The mattress itself is 90 x 190cm, or 3ft x 6ft 3in. We suggest allowing at least 2.1m x 2.8m of floor space so you can walk around the bed and open a wardrobe without squeezing past. In a child's room, measure with the desk and storage in place rather than an empty floor.
Is the Elysium 7000 in a UK single too deep for a cabin bed or bunk?
It might be. The Elysium 7000 is 34cm deep, which is a substantial build. Raised frames usually carry a maximum mattress depth so the safety rail stays high enough above the sleeping surface. Check the frame maker's own guidance before buying. If the limit sits below 34cm, choose a slimmer mattress for that frame.
Is the Elysium 7000 UK single long enough for a tall teenager?
The UK single is 190cm long, the same length as the UK small double and the UK double. If your teenager is already outgrowing that, the UK king is 10cm longer, although it is 60cm wider too and needs at least 2.7m x 2.9m. For most growing teens, the UK single length is standard.
Elysium 7000 single or double for one adult?
The UK single is 45cm narrower than the UK double and the same length. If you sprawl, or your room allows at least 2.6m x 2.8m, the UK double gives you noticeably more space to turn. If floor space is tight or the bed is mainly for occasional guests, the UK single is the practical choice.
Can the Elysium 7000 single fit in a loft conversion?
The narrow 90cm width makes the UK single easy to tuck along a wall under a sloping ceiling. Bear in mind the 34cm depth raises the sleeping surface, which reduces headroom where the slope is lowest. Measure the height at the point where you will sit up in bed before you settle on the position.
