- Cover. A Smooth-Tech™ fabric sleep surface. It gives a smooth, even feel across the top of the mattress.
- Fillings. English cotton, Hampshire wool, silk and cashmere. These natural fibres breathe and wick moisture, which means a cooler, drier feel through the night than synthetic fillings tend to give.
- Spring system. In the king size, 1000 pocket springs work with 5000 micro springs across 7 zones that mirror your body shape. Each spring moves independently, which means less disturbance from a restless partner and support tailored to your shoulders, hips and lower back.
- Support. A double steel-framed support system reinforces the mattress edges. That means firmer sitting support at the sides and a usable sleep surface right to the edge.

For most families, yes. The UK super king gives two adults 90cm each, so a young child wandering in overnight can find a space in the middle without either parent ending up on the edge. The firm tension and reinforced edges help here, because the whole surface stays supportive rather than dipping where people cluster.
How much more room is the UK super king than the UK king?
The UK super king is 30cm wider than the UK king and the same length. For two people sharing, that gives you 15cm more each. It needs a larger room, though: we suggest at least 3m x 2.9m for the UK super king and at least 2.7m x 2.9m for the UK king.
Is a firm super king a good choice if my partner is a restless sleeper?
It suits restless sleepers well. The width puts real distance between you, and pocket springs move independently, so less movement travels across the bed. The firm tension also means less sinking where your partner lies. Lightweight side sleepers may find the firm version a little unyielding at the shoulder, though.
Will a UK super king fit in a loft conversion bedroom?
Only if the usable floor space clears our suggested 3m x 2.9m, measured where you can stand upright. A sloping roof usually decides which wall the headboard goes against. At 33cm deep, the mattress also sits fairly high, so check your head clearance when you sit up in bed under the slope.
