- Upholstery. Made exclusively from natural fillings: British fleece wool, hand-teased Devonshire fleece wool and British fleece needled wool, all encased in high-quality ticking. It's hand-tufted with felt washers, which means the fillings stay in place and the mattress keeps its structure and support for the long haul.
- Spring System. A hand-nested calico pocket spring construction with 1,326 vanadium steel pocket springs in a single layer, based on the 150 x 200cm size. Each spring moves independently, so you feel supported along your whole body rather than tipping towards a partner or sinking in one spot.
Layer details from vispring.com product page, September 2026.
- More room each: You get 75cm each, which is 7.5cm more per person than a UK double, so turning over is less likely to mean nudging your partner.
- Length for taller sleepers: At 200cm, or 6ft 6in, the UK king adds 10cm of length over a UK double, which means feet stay on the mattress rather than hanging off the end.
- Quieter nights with different schedules: The pocket springs move independently, so an early riser getting up at dawn should disturb a sleeping partner a little less across this wider surface.
- Spring count quoted for this size: Vispring's figure of 1,326 vanadium steel springs is given for the 150 x 200cm size, so you know exactly what sits inside your UK king.
- Space to shift position: If you're pregnant or recovering and propping yourself with pillows, the extra width gives you room to move without taking over your partner's side.
- Fits more bedrooms than a super king: We suggest at least 2.7m x 2.9m for a UK king, compared with 3m x 2.9m for the UK super king.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and want enough room each to turn over without waking the other, or one of you is approaching six foot and a UK double leaves your feet near the edge.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom is smaller than our suggested 2.7m x 2.9m, or you usually sleep alone. We'd recommend the UK double instead, for which we suggest at least 2.6m x 2.8m.

Is the Vispring Devonshire UK king long enough if you're over 6ft?
The UK king is 200cm long, or 6ft 6in, which is 10cm longer than a UK double. For a partner over six foot, that extra length is often the real reason to upgrade. The width matters less for them than having room to stretch out without their feet reaching the end.
Will I feel my partner move on a Vispring Devonshire UK king?
You're likely to feel a little less than on a smaller size. Each of you has 75cm, which is 7.5cm more than a UK double gives, and the pocket springs respond independently. A partner who leaves hours before you should cause less disturbance, although no sprung mattress removes movement entirely.
Does the 1,326 spring count apply to the Devonshire UK king?
Yes. Vispring quotes 1,326 hand-nested vanadium steel pocket springs based on the 150 x 200cm size, which is the UK king. Other sizes of the Devonshire will carry a different number, so check with Vispring if you're comparing it against the UK double or UK super king.
Vispring Devonshire king or super king for two people?
The UK super king gives 90cm each, which is 15cm more per person than the 75cm the UK king gives. Both are 200cm long. The UK super king needs more floor space, though: we suggest at least 3m x 2.9m, against 2.7m x 2.9m for the UK king.
Is it worth upgrading from a double to a Vispring Devonshire UK king?
If you share, it usually is. The UK king is 15cm wider and 10cm longer than a UK double, giving 7.5cm more each. The room cost is modest: we suggest at least 2.7m x 2.9m, compared with 2.6m x 2.8m for the UK double. A new build master bedroom can feel tighter once wardrobes go in, so measure first.
