- Upholstery. Made exclusively from natural fillings: British fleece wool, hand-teased Devonshire fleece wool and British fleece needled wool, all encased in high-quality ticking. It's hand-tufted with felt washers, which means the fillings stay in place and the mattress keeps its structure and support for the long haul.
- Spring System. A hand-nested calico pocket spring construction with 1,326 vanadium steel pocket springs in a single layer, based on the 150 x 200cm size. Each spring moves independently, so you feel supported along your whole body rather than tipping towards a partner or sinking in one spot.
Layer details from vispring.com product page, September 2026.
- A single's width each: With 90cm each for two people sharing, you each get space matching a UK single, which means an elbow or a turn rarely reaches the other side.
- Room for night-time visitors: If a child wanders in after a bad dream or your dog sleeps on the bed as routine, a UK super king keeps two adults from ending up clinging to the edges.
- Movement stays where it starts: The pocket springs move independently, so on a surface this wide a restless partner's shifting stays on their side rather than rolling across to yours.
- Cooler with more bodies in bed: Wool fillings breathe better than synthetic foams, which helps when a partner, a child and a warm dog are all adding heat to the same bed.
- In proportion in a big room: In a period property or a generous master bedroom, a UK king can look slightly lost, while the UK super king fills the space properly.
This size suits you if...
You share with a partner who tosses and turns, your children or a large dog regularly end up in bed with you, and your bedroom is at least 3m x 2.9m.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom falls short of our suggested 3m x 2.9m. We'd recommend the UK king instead, and for the UK king we suggest at least 2.7m x 2.9m.

Is the Vispring Devonshire UK super king big enough for two adults and a child?
It's the most realistic option in the Devonshire range for that. At 180 x 200cm, two adults get 90cm each before a child arrives, so an early morning visitor squeezes in without anyone losing their spot entirely. Occasional visits suit it better than a full night for three every night, and every night gets a little tight.
Vispring Devonshire UK king or UK super king: which should I buy?
The UK super king is 30cm wider than the UK king and the same length. For two sharing, the UK king gives 75cm each and the UK super king gives 15cm more each. If your room clears our suggested 3m x 2.9m and either of you is restless, go for the UK super king. Otherwise the UK king needs at least 2.7m x 2.9m.
How much more space is a UK super king than a double Vispring Devonshire?
The UK super king is 45cm wider than the UK double and 10cm longer. Two sharing get 22.5cm more each than the 67.5cm a UK double allows. You feel that difference every night. Just check your room first: we suggest at least 2.6m x 2.8m for the UK double against 3m x 2.9m for the UK super king.
Will a Vispring Devonshire super king fit in a loft conversion bedroom?
Often it can, but the slope usually decides which wall the bed goes against, since you need headroom where you sit up. Allow at least 3m x 2.9m of usable floor, then check the door swing and the landing turn on the way up. Super king bedding also costs more, so factor that in.
Is a UK super king Vispring Devonshire good for a restless partner?
Yes, and the size helps more than anything else. With 90cm each, the distance between you absorbs a lot of the fidgeting. The independent pocket springs add to that by keeping movement local. If one of you is a very light sleeper, the extra 15cm each over a UK king is the part you'll notice most.
