- Ticking. The outer cover is a soft to the touch, finest quality ticking. This is the surface you'll actually feel through your sheet, and it's made to be gentle against skin.
- Fillings. All-natural fillings of British fleece wool, horsehair, bamboo and cotton, which means the mattress breathes and manages moisture naturally through the night. Horsehair in particular adds resilience, so the comfort layers spring back rather than compacting quickly.
- Springs. 1720 vanadium steel springs in the 5-foot size, each with 6 coils, hand-nested in calico pockets with a wool protector pad. Because each spring works independently, support follows your shape closely and movement on one side is less likely to disturb the other.
- Borders. Wool-upholstered borders include air vents and handles. The vents let air circulate through the mattress, and the handles make rotating it far easier than wrestling an unhandled one.

Is the Vispring Imperial UK king long enough if you're over six foot?
Yes, for most tall sleepers. The UK king is 200cm long (6ft 6in), which is 10cm longer than a UK double. If one of you is over six foot, that extra length is often the bigger improvement, because it lets you stretch out fully rather than sleeping slightly curled up.
Will I feel my partner moving on a Vispring Imperial king size?
