Layer Details
- Upholstery, top layer. British fleece wool, hand-teased horsetail blended with real Shetland wool, silk and mohair, plus blended Shetland wool and cotton, all encased in high-quality ticking. These natural fibres wick moisture and allow airflow, which means a cooler, drier sleeping surface than synthetic alternatives.
- Springs. A two layer hand-nested calico pocket spring construction made from vanadium steel, with 2,520 springs in the 150 x 200cm size. Two layers of springs mean the upper layer contours to your shape while the lower layer provides deeper support.
- Borders. The borders are upholstered with protective coir and wool, finished with four rows of hand side-stitching. This means firmer edge support, so you can sit or sleep near the side without feeling you might roll off.

- Room left around the bed: At 135cm wide it leaves more floor free than the UK king, which means a wardrobe and a chest of drawers can usually stay in the same room.
- A proper couples' width: Two people sharing get 67.5cm each, enough for most couples who sleep fairly still and don't sprawl across the middle.
- Stitched edges on a narrower bed: The four rows of hand side-stitching keep the borders firm, so on a narrower bed you can use the space right to the edge without feeling you might roll off.
- Cooler for two in close quarters: The wool, silk and mohair fillings let air move through the top layer, which helps when two bodies sit a little closer together than they would on a UK king.
- Easy to dress: UK double sheets are stocked almost everywhere, and a 200 x 200cm duvet gives enough overhang for two.

How much space does each person get on a Vispring Sublime Superb UK double?

Is the Sublime Superb UK double long enough for tall people?
It is 190cm long, or 6ft 3in. That is fine for most adults, though very tall sleepers may find their feet near the end. The UK king is 10cm longer, which is the more comfortable choice if height is your main concern.
Vispring Sublime Superb UK double or UK king for a smaller bedroom?
The UK double is 15cm narrower and 10cm shorter than the UK king. In a second bedroom or a first flat, that difference often decides whether drawers fit alongside the bed. We suggest at least 2.7m x 2.9m for the UK king against 2.6m x 2.8m for the UK double.
Is a UK double Sublime Superb too big for one person?
Not if you like room to stretch. It is 45cm wider than a UK single and the same length, so a solo sleeper has plenty of space, even with a dog or cat taking over one corner. It also leaves room for a partner later.
