- Wool protector pad. A wool protector pad sits at the top for extra comfort. Wool is naturally breathable, which means it helps regulate temperature through the night.
- Natural fillings. Beneath the pad are all-natural fillings, including Platinum Certified British fleece wool and cotton. These materials wick moisture away from your body, so you're less likely to overheat.
- Springs. The base is six-coil vanadium steel springs, hand nested in calico, with 1,254 in the King size. Each pocketed spring moves independently, which means less motion transfer to a partner and support that adapts to your shape.

- More room to yourself: At 75cm each for two sharing, you get 7.5cm more personal space than on a UK double, which means less brushing elbows and fewer tugs of war over the duvet.
- Movement stays on one side: The UK king holds 1,254 hand-nested springs in individual calico pockets, so when an early riser slips out at dawn, the other side should stay largely undisturbed.
- Length for taller sleepers: At 200cm long, the UK king is 10cm longer than a UK double, which means a partner approaching 6ft can stretch out without feet reaching the end.
- Space to prop and shift: If you're pregnant or recovering from one, the extra width leaves room for a support pillow and frequent changes of position without pushing your partner towards the edge.
- Fits more rooms than a super king: We suggest allowing at least 2.7m x 2.9m for the UK king, with 3.2m x 3.2m comfortable, a smaller footprint than the UK super king needs.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and have started to feel hemmed in on a UK double, one of you gets up hours before the other and you'd like fewer disturbances, or a partner approaching 6ft needs the extra length.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom is smaller than our suggested 2.7m x 2.9m for the UK king. We'd recommend the UK double instead, which needs at least 2.6m x 2.8m.

Is the Vispring Traditional UK king big enough for two adults?
For most couples, yes. The UK king gives 75cm each for two sharing, which is 7.5cm more each than a UK double. If you both sprawl, or regularly have a child or dog joining you, the UK super king gives 15cm more each, although we suggest at least 3m x 2.9m of room for the UK super king.
Will I feel my partner move on a Vispring Traditional king size?
Less than on many traditional open-coil mattresses. The UK king contains 1,254 springs, each hand nested in its own calico pocket, so they respond independently rather than as one connected unit. Combined with 75cm of width each, that should help if your schedules differ, although a very restless partner may still be noticeable.
Is a Vispring UK king long enough for someone tall?
At 200cm (6ft 6in), the UK king is 10cm longer than a UK double, which gives a sleeper approaching 6ft more room at the foot. The UK super king is the same length as the UK king, so sizing up would add width but no extra length.
Is a Vispring king better than a double if you're pregnant?
It usually helps. A UK king gives 7.5cm more each than a UK double, which is extra room for a pregnancy or wedge pillow and for turning over through the night without nudging your partner. The pocket springs also move independently, so your repositioning should travel less to the other side.
How much bedroom space does a Vispring Traditional UK king need?
We suggest at least 2.7m x 2.9m for the UK king, with 3.2m x 3.2m feeling comfortable once bedside tables and wardrobes are in. New build master bedrooms can feel smaller than their floor plan suggests, so measure around fitted furniture before ordering.
