We suggest a minimum of 3m x 2.9m, and around 3.5m x 3.2m feels comfortable once you add bedside tables and space to walk around. That guidance is ours, based on the 180 x 200cm footprint, so measure your room including door swing before ordering. In a loft conversion, check the sloped ceiling side too.
How much space does each person get on a super king?
90cm each for two people sharing. In practice that means you can turn over, stretch out or read with your elbows out without disturbing the person next to you. Combined with the Hotel Arthur's 1000 pocket springs, which absorb movement individually, it's the most undisturbed sharing arrangement this mattress offers.
Is the Hotel Arthur super king a good choice for a restless partner?
It's the best size of this mattress for that problem. The pocket springs respond individually, so movement doesn't travel across the bed the way it does on connected coils, and the 90cm each of width means most tossing happens too far away to notice. Distance does a lot of the work here.
