Layer Details
- Knit-Tex cover. A knitted cover with a tulip print, designed for breathability and airflow. In practice that means a fresher-feeling sleep surface, particularly useful if you run warm at night.
- Cashmere and Wool comfort layer. A blend of cashmere and wool fibres providing the main comfort layer. These natural fibres are highly breathable and help regulate temperature, which means fewer sweaty wake-ups than a purely synthetic top layer.
- Recycled polyester layer. A cushioning layer made from 70% recycled single-use plastic. It adds a little extra softness while giving the mattress a stronger environmental case.
- Eco foam layer. Made from 100% reclaimed foam, this layer moulds around your body to take pressure off your joints. It softens the transition between the fibre layers above and the springs below.
- Pocket+ springs. 1000 Pocket+ springs with thicker wire, special coil shapes and an extra row of springs, a count based on the kingsize. Each spring moves independently, which means the mattress adapts to your shape and you feel less of a partner's movement.

- 75cm each for two sharing: Each of you gets 75cm of width, which means you can settle into your own position rather than sleeping around each other.
- Independent springs, less disturbance: The 1000 Pocket+ springs move individually, which means an early riser slipping out at 5am is less likely to wake the person still sleeping.
- Extra length for taller sleepers: At 200cm long, the UK king is 10cm longer than the UK Double, a real difference if one of you is approaching six foot.
- The honest spring count: The 1000-spring figure is based on the kingsize, so in this size you're getting the count as quoted, with thicker wire compensating for the modest total.
- Natural fibres across a bigger surface: Cashmere and wool near the surface help regulate temperature, useful when two bodies are warming one bed all night.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and a double has started to feel like a compromise, one of you keeps different hours and you'd both sleep better with less movement crossing the mattress, or someone in the bed is tall enough that their feet reach the end of a standard 190cm mattress. The dog counts as a third sleeper too.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom can't take our suggested minimum of 2.7m x 2.9m, or you sleep alone and the width would go unused. We'd recommend the UK double instead, which needs a smaller room at around 2.6m x 2.8m.

Does the Aspire Pocket+ 1000 come in a super king?
No. The UK king at 150 x 200cm is the largest size this mattress is made in. If you want the extra 30cm of width a UK super king offers, you'd need to look at a different model, as Aspire doesn't offer this one in that size.
What room size do I need for the Aspire Pocket+ 1000 in a UK king?
We suggest allowing at least 2.7m x 2.9m, with more feeling noticeably comfortable once wardrobes and bedside tables are in. New build master bedrooms often shrink faster than the floor plan suggests, so measure with the furniture in place before committing to the UK king.
How much space does each person get on the UK king?
Two people sharing get 75cm of width each. That's enough to change position, prop pillows or read without elbowing your partner, and it makes a real difference if one of you gets up hours before the other, or a dog claims a corner most nights.
Is the UK king long enough if I'm over six foot?
At 200cm (the full size is 5ft x 6ft 6in), the UK king gives you 10cm more length than a UK double. For many taller sleepers that length is the real reason to upgrade, since it stops feet hanging over the end of the mattress.
Does the 1000 spring count apply to the king size?
Yes, and helpfully so: Aspire bases the 1000 Pocket+ count on the kingsize, so this is the size where the quoted figure is exact. Smaller sizes of the same mattress will contain proportionally fewer springs, though the feel is designed to stay consistent.
