Layer Details
- Knitted cover. A soft knitted finish that adds a little cosiness and warmth. It also enhances airflow and breathability, which helps you sleep cooler.
- Copper layer. A thin layer of pure copper that is highly conductive, drawing excess heat away from your body as you sleep. Copper is also naturally antimicrobial, a reassuring bonus for allergy-conscious sleepers.
- Memory Foam. 30mm of memory foam that cradles your body shape, which means pressure points like hips and shoulders get some relief. It's a modest layer, in keeping with the firm feel.
- Reflex Foam. Layers of reflex foam that add support and protect the spring system beneath. This section also includes foam encapsulated edge support, so the sides stay stable when you sit or sleep near the edge.
- Pocket Springs. A core of 2000 pocket springs, each encased in its own fabric pocket. They respond individually to weight and movement, which means responsive support and less disturbance from a restless partner.

- Fits compact rooms comfortably: At 90cm wide it leaves floor space free even where a wardrobe, desk and toy storage are competing for room; we suggest allowing at least 2.1m x 2.8m.
- Cooling where it counts: Loft conversions and box rooms trap heat, and the conductive copper layer pulls warmth away from your body rather than letting it build up under you.
- Firm support for growing sleepers: The firm feel with 2000 pocket springs gives teens and adults steady spinal support, though very light children may find it a little unyielding.
- Edge support across a narrow bed: Foam encapsulated edges matter more on a 90cm mattress, letting you sleep right to the side without that rolling-off feeling.
- Guest-ready without fuss: Single sheets and duvets are the cheapest and most widely stocked of any size, so kitting out a spare bed stays simple.
This size suits you if...
You're buying for one sleeper, whether that's a teenager moving up from a child's bed, a student room where the frame is provided but the mattress isn't, or a spare room that doubles as an office. It also suits solo adults who sleep hot and prefer a firm feel, since back and front sleepers get the most from this mattress.
Consider another size if...
You're a solo adult who spreads out or changes position a lot in the night, as 90cm can feel restrictive. We'd recommend the UK small double instead: it's 30cm wider, the same length, and we suggest at least 2.4m x 2.8m of floor space for it.

Will the Copper Fresh Envy Supreme UK single fit a bunk or mid sleeper frame?
The 90 x 190cm footprint matches standard UK bunk and mid sleeper frames. Do check the frame's maximum mattress depth before buying though: this mattress is 25cm deep, and some raised frames specify a lower limit so the guard rail still sits safely above the mattress surface.
Is the Copper Fresh Envy Supreme single a good choice for a child?
It fits children's beds, and the copper layer's antimicrobial quality is a nice reassurance for allergy-prone kids. The caveat is firmness: lighter children, especially side sleepers, may not sink in enough for the memory foam to cradle them. For older, heavier teens it's a stronger match.
What room size do I need for a UK single mattress?
We suggest allowing at least 2.1m x 2.8m of floor space, which is our own guidance rather than the manufacturer's. That leaves enough clearance to walk round the bed and open drawers. In a loft room with a sloping ceiling, the narrow 90cm width often makes a single the only size that works.
Can two Copper Fresh Envy Supreme singles work in a shared or guest room?
Yes, and it's a common setup for siblings sharing or a guest room that needs to sleep two people separately. Each mattress is 90cm wide, so measure whether the room can take two beds plus a walkway between them before committing. The pocket springs also keep each bed quiet.
What bedding do I need for the Copper Fresh Envy Supreme in a single?
Standard UK single sheets and a single duvet, 135 x 200cm, fit the 90 x 190cm mattress. Single bedding is the cheapest and easiest to find of any size, which keeps running costs down if you're furnishing a spare room, a student flat or a child's bedroom.
