- Cover. A sumptuously soft natural cover designed for enhanced breathability, which means heat can escape rather than build up around you. It also carries an antibacterial finish.
- Comfort layers. Deep polyester comfort layers sit beneath the cover. These provide the cushioning you feel first, softening the firm springs slightly at the surface.
- Springs. The support core uses individually wrapped pocket springs, 800 of them in the king size. Each spring moves independently, which means less disturbance when a partner turns over.

- Room to sleep apart, together: At 5ft x 6ft 6in, the UK king gives each of you your own settled patch rather than a nightly negotiation over the middle.
- 800 springs across the width: The UK king carries 800 individually wrapped pocket springs, which means each side responds to its own sleeper rather than both of you.
- Less disturbance on different schedules: Because each spring moves independently, a 5am alarm on one side registers far less on the other, useful when your mornings don't match.
- Length for taller sleepers: The 200cm length is 10cm more than the UK double, a genuine relief if one of you is approaching or past six foot.
- Firm support at scale: The firm tension holds its shape across the full 150cm width, so neither sleeper rolls towards a soft centre over time.
- A shallower profile that fits standard sheets: At 21cm deep, the UK king takes ordinary king fitted sheets without a fight, though it can look a little slimline on a tall frame.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and a double has started to feel like a compromise, especially if one of you sleeps hot to the edge or wakes early. It also suits couples where one partner is tall, since the 200cm length removes the dangling-feet problem, and anyone who likes firm support with a bit of distance from a restless sleeper.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom is under our suggested 2.7m x 2.9m minimum, or you sleep alone. For solo sleepers or tighter rooms we'd recommend the UK double instead, allowing at least 2.6m x 2.8m for it.

How many springs does the Harewood have in a UK king?
The UK king version of the Feather & Black Harewood contains 800 individually wrapped pocket springs. Each spring compresses on its own, which means the mattress responds to two different body weights separately, so a lighter sleeper isn't pulled towards a heavier partner and movement on one side stays largely on that side.
Will the Feather & Black Harewood UK king fit in a smaller master bedroom?
We suggest a room of at least 2.7m x 2.9m for the UK king, which leaves walking space on both sides once the 150 x 200cm mattress is in. Newer master bedrooms can feel smaller than the floor plan suggests once wardrobes go in, so measure the usable floor, then check you can still open every door.
Is the Harewood UK king long enough for someone over six foot?
At 200cm, the UK king is 10cm longer than the UK double, and for anyone around or above six foot that extra length is usually the difference between feet on the mattress and feet off it. Paired with the firm tension, taller sleepers get support along their full height rather than sinking at the ends.
Is a king Harewood worth it over the double for couples?
The UK king is 15cm wider and 10cm longer than the UK double, giving 75cm each for two people sharing. On a firm mattress like the Harewood, where you don't sink into a shared dip, that width matters more: each of you settles on your own side and stays there. If your room clears 2.7m x 2.9m, the upgrade makes sense.
Should I go up to the super king instead of the king?
The UK super king is 30cm wider than the UK king and the same length, so it's a width decision. If a dog routinely joins you, or one of you spends broken nights propped on pillows and shifting position, that width helps. Allow at least 3m x 2.9m for the UK super king before committing.
