Layer Details
Cover
An in-house woven cover made without FR chemicals, meeting fire safety standards naturally. That means a healthier sleep environment without chemical treatments.
Wool
A layer of British wool gives a plush, sumptuous sleeping surface. Wool also regulates temperature well, which helps if you tend to sleep warm.
Cotton, Hemp and Flax blend
This blended layer wicks away moisture, which means the surface stays feeling fresher through the night.
Hemp and Ecotex
Hemp and strong Ecotex fibres complete the comfort layers, adding durability and structure beneath the softer fillings.
Micro springs
Layers of 2500 micro springs sit beneath the fillings, providing extra bounce that adapts to your body shape.
Pocket Springs
The base layer holds 1000 Cortec™ Quad Revolution® pocket springs, with each dual spring in a cloth pocket and secured in groups of four. This gives independent, targeted support and helps limit partner disturbance.
Layer details from mattressonline.co.uk product page, September 2026.
- 90cm each, every night: Two people sharing get 90cm each, which means a restless partner becomes far easier to ignore than on any smaller size.
- Pocket springs plus distance: The 1000 Cortec™ Quad Revolution® pocket springs already limit partner disturbance, and at this width there's simply more mattress between you both.
- Space for family visitors: If children or pets regularly find their way in overnight, the UK super king is the size where everyone still keeps a usable share.
- Cooler across a bigger surface: The wool, cotton, hemp and flax fillings wick moisture, and with more surface per sleeper there's less shared body heat building up.
- Suits a larger master: In a big master bedroom a UK king can look a little lost; the extra 30cm of width here fills the space properly.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and want the most space UK retailers stock as standard, your partner turns over constantly and you'd rather solve it with distance than hope a comfort layer copes, or children and pets join you most mornings and you still want room to sleep. Your bedroom should be at least 3m x 2.9m, and ideally a little more.
Consider another size if...
Your room is under our suggested 3m x 2.9m minimum, or the extra width would leave you squeezing past the bed frame daily. We'd recommend the UK king instead: it's 30cm narrower, the same length, and we suggest at least 2.7m x 2.9m for it.

Is the Harrison Spinks Bronze 3500 super king good for couples?
Yes, arguably it's the size where this mattress makes most sense for two. The pocket springs sit in cloth pockets grouped in fours, giving independent support, and with 90cm of width each a partner's movement is both absorbed and further away. If one of you is a genuinely light sleeper, the space matters as much as the springs.
What room size do I need for the Bronze 3500 in a UK super king?
We suggest at least 3m x 2.9m, and around 3.5m x 3.2m feels comfortable, leaving space to walk round both sides and open wardrobes. That's our guidance rather than the manufacturer's. Measure door swing and any furniture you're keeping before you commit, because at 180cm wide this mattress dominates a modest room.
Will the Bronze 3500 super king get up my stairs?
It's the trickiest size to move. A pocket spring mattress can't be rolled or folded the way foam can, so a 180 x 200cm mattress needs a clear route: measure your stairwell, landing turns and door frames first. Harrison Spinks doesn't publish a weight for this size, so check with your chosen retailer before delivery day.
Is the soft to medium feel still supportive at super king width?
Yes. Firmness doesn't change with size, and the support comes from 3500 springs in total working under each sleeper independently. What the width adds is that you each get your own zone of the mattress, so a heavier partner sinking in slightly won't tilt your side. Heavier sleepers wanting real pushback may still prefer a firmer model.
Where can I compare prices on the Bronze 3500 super king?
Use the live table on this page. The prices shown here are updated as retailers change them, which matters at this end of the market because the UK super king is the largest and most expensive size in the range, so even a small percentage difference between retailers adds up.
