Layer Details
- Cover. An in-house woven cover that meets fire safety standards without FR chemicals, which means fewer additives next to your skin. A small but genuine plus for anyone conscious of what goes into their bedding.
- Wool comfort layer. A layer of British wool sits near the surface, giving that plush, sumptuous first impression when you lie down. Wool also handles temperature well, so it stays comfortable through the night.
- Blend comfort layer. A blend of cotton, hemp and flax wicks moisture away from you as you sleep. In practice that means a fresher, drier feel, particularly useful if you run warm.
- Hemp and Ecotex layer. Layers of hardwearing hemp and strong Ecotex fibres add structure to the mattress. This helps reduce dips forming in the surface over time.
- Micro springs. A layer of 2500 micro springs provides additional bounce that adapts to your body. These respond quickly as you move, so changing position feels easy rather than effortful.
- Pocket springs support system. The base is 1000 Cortec Quad Revolution pocket springs, each with a smaller support spring nested inside a larger comfort spring, wrapped in a cloth pocket and secured in groups of four. The result is a softer initial feel backed by deeper support when you need it.

- Space beats any comfort layer: If your partner is genuinely restless, 90cm each of width does more for your sleep than any filling could, and this is the widest standard UK size.
- Springs that stay local: The 1000 Cortec Quad Revolution pocket springs move independently, which means a partner turning over on their side of 180cm barely registers on yours.
- Room for night-time visitors: When a young child wanders in at 3am, a UK super king means everyone keeps a workable share of the bed rather than someone clinging to the edge.
- Natural fillings across a big surface: Wool, cotton, hemp and flax wick moisture, useful when two adults, and sometimes more, are sharing one sleep surface all night.
- Micro springs make moving easy: The 2500 micro springs respond quickly as you shift position, so even on a soft to medium surface you won't feel stuck in one spot.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and one of you sleeps lightly or moves a lot, so distance matters as much as comfort. Or your household routinely ends up sharing, children padding in overnight or a large dog treating the bed as its own, and you want everyone to still have room. You'll also need the space for it: we suggest allowing at least 3m x 2.9m.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom is under the 3m x 2.9m we suggest, or a king already fills the wall. The UK king would suit you better: it's 30cm narrower but the same length, and needs at least 2.7m x 2.9m.

Will a UK super king fit in my bedroom?
The mattress itself is 180 x 200cm, but you need walking space around it. We suggest a room of at least 3m x 2.9m for the UK super king, and around 3.5m x 3.2m feels more comfortable, with room to open drawers and doors. Measure your door swing and any landing turns before ordering too.
Is the super king worth it over the king for this mattress?
If disturbance is your problem, yes. The UK super king is 30cm wider than the UK King, and they're the same length, so all that extra space goes into distance between two sleepers. On a soft to medium mattress like this, where you settle into the surface, that separation is what keeps a restless partner's movement from reaching you.
Is the Bronze 3500 in a super king good for co-sleeping with children?
It's one of the better setups for it. At 180cm wide, a visiting child fits between two adults without pushing anyone to the edge, and the pocket springs keep movement fairly contained. The soft to medium feel is gentle for little ones too. Lighter children sit near the surface, so the wool comfort layer is what they'll mostly feel.
How does the soft to medium feel work across a bed this wide?
Each pocket spring responds to whoever is directly above it, so a lighter sleeper on one side and a heavier sleeper on the other each get their own level of sink. Across a UK super king that independence matters more, because there's simply more surface for two different bodies to use without compromising.
