Cover
A soft blend of wool and viscose that is fire resistant and chemical free. That means no chemical fire retardant treatments against your skin.
Comfort layer
Traceable British wool forms the soft cushioning layer. Wool naturally regulates temperature, which means less overheating on warm nights.
Interior blend
A blend of cotton, hemp and flax sits within the interior. These natural fibres add breathable padding between you and the springs.
Support system
2500 high density pocket springs, each 100% glue free and encased in its own fabric pocket, including award winning Advanced Cortec pocket springs. Individual pockets mean each spring moves independently, so you feel less of your partner's movement.
Layer details from mattressonline.co.uk product page, September 2026.
- Space to sleep on different schedules: With 75cm each, a partner slipping out for an early shift moves within their own side of the bed rather than across yours.
- Independent springs, felt more at this width: Each glue free pocket spring responds on its own, which means the extra width of a UK king genuinely separates your movement from your partner's.
- Length for taller sleepers: At 200cm, the UK king is 10cm longer than the UK double, a real relief if one of you is approaching six foot.
- Wool comfort across a bigger surface: Traceable British wool regulates temperature naturally, so even with two of you sharing 150cm, warm nights feel less sticky.
- Standard depth, standard bedding: At 22cm deep, ordinary king fitted sheets will stretch over it without a fight.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and a double has started to feel cramped, especially with one of you getting up hours before the other. Or one of you is tall enough that feet hang off a 190cm mattress and the extra 10cm of length matters more than anything else. It also suits you if a dog has quietly claimed a corner and 135cm no longer stretches to three of you.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom is smaller than the 2.7m x 2.9m we suggest, or you sleep alone. In either case we'd recommend the UK double instead, which needs at least 2.6m x 2.8m and is only 15cm narrower.

Is the Collingham 3250 in a UK king good for couples?
Yes, and it is arguably the size where this mattress makes most sense for two. The 150cm width gives you 75cm each, and because every pocket spring is individually encased and glue free, your side responds to you rather than to your partner. Lightweight solo sleepers would find the UK king more space than they need.
What size room do I need for the Collingham 3250 UK king?
We suggest a bedroom of at least 2.7m x 2.9m, which leaves room to walk around the bed and open drawers. That is our guidance, not the manufacturer's. In a new build master, measure after accounting for wardrobes: rooms that look generous on a floor plan can tighten up quickly once storage goes in.
Is the UK king Collingham 3250 long enough for a tall sleeper?
At 200cm long, the UK king gives you 10cm more length than the UK double. If one of you is around six foot or over, that extra length usually matters more than the extra width, keeping feet on the wool comfort layer rather than hanging off the end.
Should I choose the Collingham 3250 in a UK king or a UK super king?
The UK super king is 30cm wider than the UK king, and the two are the same length, so it is purely a width decision. If a child or dog regularly joins you, the width helps, but we suggest at least 3m x 2.9m of room for the UK super king. Most couples find the UK king the comfortable middle ground.
Does a king size reduce partner disturbance on this mattress?
It helps in two ways. The individually pocketed springs already isolate movement, and the UK king's 150cm width means you are less likely to be lying close enough to feel it at all. If one of you gets up early or shifts position a lot, the combination is noticeably calmer than a double.
