Comfort fillings
A blend of wool, cotton, hemp and flax fibre layers sits at the top. The wool cushions around you for a plush feel, and its natural insulating and breathable properties help regulate temperature through the night.
Mini Pocket Springs
8,000 mini pocket springs mould around your unique body shape for enhanced comfort. Their small size also creates pockets of airflow, which means less heat build up than a solid comfort layer.
Posturfil Springs
1,300 Posturfil springs with a flexible design sit beneath. Their mini size helps them conform more closely to your shape, offering more points of contact and, in practice, more even pressure relief.
Cortec Quad Springs
The base layer uses 7,000 award-winning Cortec Quad springs, grouped in fours within fabric pockets and made without glue for flexibility. They respond to your weight and movements, giving your back extra support.
Layer details from mattressonline.co.uk product page, September 2026.
- Sensible space for two: At 67.5cm each for two people sharing, the layered pocket springs contour to each of you separately, which means your partner's shape doesn't dictate your side's support.
- Fits most UK bedrooms: We suggest allowing at least 2.6m x 2.8m, which most doubles-era British bedrooms manage, and around 3m x 3m leaves room to walk around comfortably.
- Less disturbance when sharing: The Cortec Quad base springs respond to weight and movement individually, so a restless partner on their 67.5cm is less likely to wake you on yours.
- Breathable when two of you warm the bed: Wool, hemp and flax fillings breathe better than foam, which matters more in a shared UK double where two bodies raise the temperature.
- Easy to dress: Standard double sheets and a 200 x 200cm double duvet fit this size, and both are stocked everywhere at every price.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and your bedroom sits in that typical UK middle ground where a UK king would leave you squeezing past the footboard. It also suits a guest room that regularly hosts visiting couples, or a solo sleeper who wants proper sprawling space, perhaps with a dog or cat claiming a corner, without giving the whole room over to the bed.
Consider another size if...
You and your partner both like space and your room measures well beyond the minimum. The Jade 10000 in a UK king is 15cm wider and 10cm longer than the UK double; allow at least 2.7m x 2.9m for it.

What are the dimensions of the Harrison Spinks Jade 10000 UK double?
The UK double measures 135 x 190cm, or 4ft 6in x 6ft 3in in imperial. That is the long-standing British standard for two people sharing, and it takes ordinary double sheets and a 200 x 200cm double duvet, so dressing it costs nothing extra in hunting down unusual bedding.
How much room does each person get on the Jade 10000 in a UK double?
Two people sharing a UK double get 67.5cm each. That is enough for most couples, and the Jade 10000's pocket springs conform to each sleeper independently, so you feel your own side rather than an average of both. Broad-shouldered couples or sprawlers may still prefer the UK king.
Will a UK double Jade 10000 fit my room with bedside tables both sides?
We suggest a minimum room of 2.6m x 2.8m for a UK double, and at around 3m x 3m you can comfortably fit bedside tables on both sides plus a wardrobe. Measure your usable wall, not the whole floor: doors, radiators and chimney breasts all eat into where the bed can actually sit.
Should a couple choose the Jade 10000 in a UK double or a UK king?
It usually comes down to the room. The UK double is 15cm narrower and 10cm shorter than the UK king, and the UK king needs at least 2.7m x 2.9m by our guidance. If your bedroom clears that comfortably, size up; if it doesn't, the UK double shares perfectly well at 67.5cm each.
Is the Jade 10000 double a good choice for a guest room?
Size-wise, yes: a UK double handles visiting couples and fits alongside a wardrobe and drawers in most spare rooms. The Jade 10000 is a premium spend for a bed used a few weeks a year, so it makes most sense if the room doubles as a regular sleeping space.
