Comfort fillings
British wool comfort layers sit at the top, which means natural insulation in winter and breathability in summer. Wool also handles moisture well, so the sleep surface should stay fresher for longer.
Mini Pocket Springs
1,300 Posturfil mini springs flex as you move, while 8,000 mini pocket springs mould around your body shape. In practice this feels like close, even contouring rather than a single firm push.
Moisture wicking layer
A blend of soft cotton, hemp and flax fibres forms a breathable barrier against moisture build-up. If you're a hot or sweaty sleeper, this layer does quiet but useful work.
Support system
700 Cortec Quad springs form the base, grouped into fours and encased within a fabric pocket. This gives adaptable, responsive support across your whole body rather than just under the heaviest points.
Layer details from mattressonline.co.uk product page, September 2026.
- Space that solves restlessness: With 90cm each for two people sharing, most partner movement simply happens too far away to wake you, whatever the springs do.
- Gentle contouring, spread wide: All 9,700 springs respond to the body directly above them, which means one sleeper sinking into the soft to medium surface barely registers on the other side.
- Room for night-time visitors: A child who appears at 3am, or a dog who treats the bed as routine, can settle in without pushing either adult to the edge.
- 30cm more than a UK king: The UK super king is 30cm wider than the UK king and the same length, and that extra width is where the undisturbed-sleep difference lives.
- Wool topped for two warm bodies: Two sleepers plus occasional extras generate heat, so the breathable British wool and moisture-wicking cotton, hemp and flax layers matter more at this size than any other.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and want enough distance that a restless partner stops being your problem, your children or pets regularly join you and everyone still needs a fair share, or you have a large or period master bedroom where a UK king would look undersized. We suggest a room of at least 3m x 2.9m, with around 3.5m x 3.2m feeling comfortable.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom falls short of our suggested 3m x 2.9m minimum, or you'd struggle to get a 180cm-wide mattress up your stairs. We'd recommend the UK king instead, which is 30cm narrower, the same length, and needs a room of at least 2.7m x 2.9m.

What room size do I need for the Jade 10000 in a UK super king?
We suggest a minimum of 3m x 2.9m, and around 3.5m x 3.2m feels right once you add bedside tables and space to walk on both sides. The mattress itself is 180 x 200cm. In a smaller room a super king dominates, so measure the floor and the door swing before committing.
Is the UK super king Jade 10000 good for couples with different sleep styles?
It helps. Each of the 9,700 springs compresses independently under the body above it, so one person settling into the soft to medium surface transfers little movement across 180cm of width. With 90cm each for two people sharing, a light sleeper and a restless one can genuinely coexist. Both of you still need to suit a softer feel, though.
How much bigger is the super king Jade 10000 than the UK king version?
The UK super king is 30cm wider than the UK king, and the two sizes are the same length at 200cm. The feel, fillings and 29cm depth are identical, so you're paying purely for width. If children or pets join you at night, that 30cm is usually the difference between comfortable and cramped.
Will a super king mattress like this get up the stairs?
A 180 x 200cm pocket spring mattress is an awkward carry, and this one has substantial natural fillings, so a tight landing turn or narrow Victorian staircase can be a real obstacle. Harrison Spinks doesn't publish a weight for this size, so measure your stairwell and check delivery access before ordering rather than after.
Does the Jade 10000 super king suit families sharing with children or pets?
This is the size for it. At 6ft wide there's room for a wandering child or a large dog without either adult losing their share, and the wool and cotton, hemp and flax layers help with the extra body heat. The soft to medium feel is gentle for small visitors, though heavier adults may prefer the medium or firm versions.
