- 90cm each for two sharing: Each sleeper gets 90cm of width, which means you can turn over, stretch out or ignore a restless partner without either of you noticing.
- 30cm wider than a UK king: The UK super king is 30cm wider than the UK king, a difference you feel most on nights when one of you sleeps badly.
- Space for the whole household: If children or a large dog treat your bed as theirs, this size keeps everyone on the mattress rather than one adult clinging to the edge.
- Boxed delivery at the trickiest size: A super king is the hardest size to carry flat, so the Regina arriving rolled and boxed makes stairs and landing turns far more manageable.
- Suits larger master bedrooms: In a big period master or generous new build, a UK double can look lost; the super king fills the room in proportion.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and want the maximum sleeping space a standard UK size offers, your children or pets regularly join you and everyone still needs their share, or you have a large master bedroom where a UK king would look undersized. Your room should comfortably clear the 3m x 2.9m minimum we suggest.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom is smaller than the 3m x 2.9m we suggest, or you'd rather not pay super king prices for bedding. We'd recommend the Highgrove Regina in a UK king instead, which still gives a couple generous room.

How much space do two people get on the Highgrove Regina super king?
The UK super king is 180cm wide, which works out at 90cm each for two people sharing. That's enough that one person turning over, or getting up in the night, rarely disturbs the other. If a child or dog joins you regularly, there's still a workable share for everyone.
Is the Highgrove Regina UK super king much bigger than the UK king?
The UK super king is 30cm wider than the UK king, and both are 200cm long. That extra width is the difference between sharing comfortably and sharing tolerably, especially if one of you is restless. It does demand a bigger room, though: allow at least 3m x 2.9m.
Will a super king Highgrove Regina fit through my landing?
This is the size where access genuinely bites, and the Regina arriving rolled in a box helps a great deal. The compressed roll is far easier around tight stair turns and door swings than a flat 180 x 200cm mattress. Do unbox it in the room where it will stay, as it can't be re-rolled once expanded.
Is the Highgrove Regina super king a good choice for families who co-sleep?
At 6ft x 6ft 6in it's the most forgiving standard size for children wandering in at night. One caution: Highgrove publishes limited detail on this mattress's construction and firmness, so if you need a specific feel for a child sharing regularly, check with the retailer before ordering.
What should I check before buying the super king size?
Measure your room against the 3m x 2.9m minimum we suggest, and around 3.5m x 3.2m feels right. Budget for super king bedding, including a 260 x 220cm duvet, which fewer shops stock and which costs more. Then compare the retailers listed on this page, as prices shown here update as retailers change them.
